Caffe Nero

I visited a Caffe Nero today and was surprised about the amount of dogs in there.
It was a fairly small cafe probably around 15 tables/seating areas. There were 8 dogs, 4 of which were on the chairs/sofa and one that seemed to be getting under everyones feet when they passed.
I think it is really unhygienic for a place that sells food to be allowing dogs to sit on the chairs.

Well yeah they’re humans, they’re who the coffee shop is for. They don’t need to be kept on leads, they don’t bark and leave hair everywhere.

Thanks for this, someone on FB was asking where was dog friendly, I'll let them know the local Nero is an option.

This.....went to a local pub for lunch with a friend yesterday and it was honestly like being at crufts...once one barked the rest kicked off....really annoys me...if you can't control them don't have them

All the Neros around here (SW London) are full of dogs . We have a dog, but never take him in - we sit outside. I agree it’s odd.

They may be humans but let's not pretend toddlers are nice and clean and quiet They scream, cry and tantrum, have runny noses, drop food down themselves and often wipe grubby hands all over the furniture.

Anyone who is being badly behaved in a restaurant or café should be asked to leave, whether they're human or animal imo.

This thread reminds me of a cat café we have nearby that's only open to adults and children over the age of 12 - no babies, no toddlers and no primary aged DC under any circumstances.

The amount of parents who get mortally offended about their children not being allowed in is highly amusing and goes a long way to explain why very businesses actually ban small children!

They've been allowed in nero for at least the last ten years.

The very nerve of a business making a decision about their own premises and who they want in it. How shocking.
Especially as there's absolutely no option other than to buy coffee and to do so from cafe Nero, you are forced to be exposed to these dogs.

Alert the church elders, and quite possibly the police too.

Never knew this, will be sure to seek this cafe out in future. If they could ban screaming, messy and unhygienic kids all the better.

Rank. I’m glad we know which cafes are full-dog though so they can all go there and leave the rest of us who prefer hygienic facilities to go elsewhere and have a cup of coffee without the shitty and hairy dog-pound atmosphere.

It’s telling that when accused of having dirty animals, that dog owners cannot say that the concept of having a filthy hound in an eating establishment is acceptable. Because they know deep-down it is not. Their dog-addled minds have to go straight to the next ‘dirty’ thing they can think of..kids!

I think I have been lucky. I have never had a random child run through my picnic and ruin it. Or had one jump up at me with their shoes. Or had one come up and lick my face. Or wander up to me in a cafe and put their mouth in my bag and nuzzle my skirt. Or poo on the pavement outside my house. Or jump up and bite my son on his arm. Or pick up my tennis ball in their mouth and slobber all over it.

Considering children and dogs are identical, this is extraordinary!

I agree. The first cafe to ban children and dogs will get my loyal custom for the rest of my life.

Why because I do t like to eat dog hair 😂 well I’m pleased I don’t have obnoxious deluded dog owners if my life.
