I agree - if you knew the person, went with them back to a house or hotel, consented before, consented to any contact, had a previous relationship - forget it. It seems to be fair game. The rape conviction rates in this country are a disgrace.

Not a surprise, sadly. A ‘key prosecution witness’, presumably the alleged victim, has withdrawn their support for the prosecution. In a case where the suspect is a multi millionaire footballer, people will draw their own conclusions about the reasons for that.

Greenwood will be back playing somewhere within months. (I believe he is still contracted to Man Utd). All charges against him have been dropped. The case didn’t come to trial, never mind a conviction. Legally he is an innocent man and is free to get on with his life & career.
