Sam Smith's New Music Video

There's been criticism in the press over the sexualisation/borderline pornography on the video. I've just watched it. It just seems pretty misogynistic to me. He appears to smash a wine glass onto a woman's head and then it looks as though the women are being urinated upon (although it's not clear ...maybe it was meant to be champagne). What are other people's interpretation/views on it. I may well be mistaken.

I'm not watching it - don't want him to get the YouTube view count.

It's been made deliberately shocking, with deniable ambiguity around the champagne/piss element, to get people talking about a mediocre pop song. It has worked.

I saw it- I am quite liberal and happy for others to do whatever they wish, I don’t want my 8 year old seeing that video though

Don't Google golden shower, you might get a shock. Piss drinking is a sexual fetish and and I didn't think the imagery in this video was ambiguous, it was all about fetishistic sexual practices. Its fine for consenting adult to do whatever they want but the video needs an age certification.

But you get clearly shown where the sprays originate from, and it's not a human!

If your kids see this and think "oh my god, they're being sprayed with piss" then I would worry, seriously, about your kids have seen before this video!!!
