Teacher vaping in car

I collected my child earlier from school as they had a medical appointment and as I walked back to the car I noticed my child’s piano teacher vaping in her car. There was no one else about but would this bother you?

She could smoke in her car if she wanted. It’s not like she’s standing at the school gate having a cig at hometime

ColdHandsHotHead · 25/01/2023 20:42

I'm a lifelong non-smoker and loathe vaping too but FFS get a grip.

The teacher is probably stressed at having to deal with parents who make a fuss about nothing.

BillyBobsFringe · 25/01/2023 20:42

What?!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 25/01/2023 20:42

So a teacher who looked like they'd had a hard day, took a few minutes break distcreetly in their car to do something completely legal?

Good Lord, leave the school immediately!!

Is vaping not serious then like smoking?

Because teachers aren't allowed to smoke?
You realise they are people and can do whatever they want?

Bad example 😂

Trinity65 · 25/01/2023 20:43

Oh Dear
🙄

Even if she’d been smoking, she’s entirely entitled to. She’s sitting quietly in her own car. Mind your own business.

itbemay · 25/01/2023 20:43
Hmm
Takeoutyourhen · 25/01/2023 20:43

Please purchase some blinkers or at least avert your eyes from a human doing whatever they fancy doing, in their own property.

cansu · 25/01/2023 20:44

Newsflash
Teacher uses legal substance in their own time in their own car! What a scoop!

userxx · 25/01/2023 20:44

If she was tooting on a crack-pipe I could understand your concern, a puff on a vape is nothing to get your knickers in at twist over.

KittiKati · 25/01/2023 20:44

of course teachers are allowed a social life and it’s legal but it was during the school day and on school premises so I didn’t think it was appropriate

My old history teacher used to smoke his way through our lessons. Late 70's and was completely normal at the time.

Mistonthemountains · 25/01/2023 20:44

You sound like a pain in the neck.

BMW6 · 25/01/2023 20:45

FFS OP don't be such a pompous twat.

Get. A. Life.

takealettermsjones · 25/01/2023 20:45

You know, I did read an article on this that said some primary school children happened to see their teacher, out of school at the weekend, having a whisky in a pub. The children immediately exploded. Food for thought.

I just thought it sets a bad example

I think your setting a bad example as a nasty parent.

enqnwko · 25/01/2023 20:46

Get a grip love

5128gap · 25/01/2023 20:46

There's a primary school teacher that catches my train. Most mornings I see her having a bag of wotsits and and energy drink at 7.30am. I've tried to find out where she works so I can report her.

feathermucker · 25/01/2023 20:46

Good God, we must alert the church elders. Gather your pitchforks!!!

Or wtaf?!

@KittiKati totally ridiculous you gave this a second thought.

vodkaredbullgirl · 25/01/2023 20:47

🙄There were no kids who saw and no kids harmed.

I'd suggest if your reaction in real life was anything like it is here then you're setting a worse example by being so judgmental and dare I say Karen-esque.

Whyarewehardofthinking · 25/01/2023 20:47

Not setting a good example?

You might choke yourself on your pearls if you knew what most teachers actually get up to in real life. Many of my 6th formers have worked in bars and night clubs. And I have been known to go to them. Imagine what they saw! 😱
