To ask your thoughts on Andrew Tate?

I went out for dinner recently and all of my nephews aged between 13-26 had a lots of respect for him.

While I agree with a lot of what Andrew Tate says he then has to spoil things with his horrific views on certain topics and I'd go as far as to say some of his points make him dangerous to young men (it concerned me how my nephews really respect him)

What are your thoughts on Andrew Tate?? But also, why do so many respect him in this way when he is so dangerous? Or is it that most people clearly secretly feel this way too?!

I didn't actually know who he was until my sons school put a special paragraph in the newsletter explaining how toxic he is and how they will not tolerate any discussion on him in school in a positive light etc and to make sure we watch out for our sons and explain etc if we find they are looking at his content. I have had a word with my son about him and he seems to understand why he is not an OK person. But I have seen his friends sending him things on WhatsApp about him, I still don't know much about him but know he is someone I don't want my son watching.

If your nephews really view him as a role model, someone has failed those young men horrifically.

I think he's a rat faced little twat that thinks he's far more important then he actually is. He also needs to commit to an accent.

It's not all black and white - someone can be overall bad but still say some truthful things - for example people should be more resilient these days is something Andrew stands strongly about - I agree.

However, He also says some horrific things about women, mental health - to which I strongly disagree. My point, it's not black and white to agree or disagree with someone. However overall, his points I disagree with make him overall someone I could never support. I hope this makes sense - please don't try and twist my words by simplifying my opinion here.

Also, those stating somehow my nephews have been failed - this man is the most talked about and googled man the past year and has millions of male fans worldwide so it clearly isn't just my nephews in agreement with him - hence my point is that his popularity is worrying because it appears there are millions upon millions of men supporting what he says.

Why are so many millions of people following him? Does no one seem to think this is strange or concerning that so many of Mn think he's so dangerous but somehow he's the most googled man on the planet? Why is this. Clearly he resonates with a lot of people - does noone find that worrying?

Your argument that he says some good things among the nasty things does not stand up. Many, many nasty pieces of work have some reasonable opinions. Hitler loved dogs and was a vegetarian. Would you overlook the holocaust stuff if you were a vegetarian?

There are plenty of decent people who argue for eg.resilience. Andrew Tate is a very nasty piece of work who is adding to the distress young women suffer when out and about and trying to have relationships. If you care about yourself (assuming you are a woman), your daughters, mother, friends etc. read the opinions of decent men not the likes of AT. Ignore him.
