Feels Meghan has done to him to justify the vitriol and misogyny of that article he wrote where he’d like to see her naked and assaulted?

I mean WTF? How in earth did a major publication think that it was fine to publish his little sexual fantasy about hurting a woman like that?

I’m no fan of the Royals in any form, and could care less about their infighting, but why are we surprised that there is so much violence against women and girls when this kind of article by an influential man is seen as okay to write?
Where’s his description of a naked, vulnerable Harry being assaulted??

I'm pretty glad I never watched Game of Thrones, or read the books. George Martin and the makers of the series have fed that fantasy. Poor actress. Sensitivity readers and intimacy choreographers presumably not involved.

I'm really puzzled about the really personal level of hatred demonstrated by Clarkson and Morgan. What is she supposed to have done to them to provoke this? Is Clarkson another many who fancied his chances and is miffed because she didn't show any interest?

When I think of Clarkson and Morgan I just see privileged men who've likely had it easy in life (no opposition career wise due to their gender or race), who have no respect for young females in particular. It's sickening and just out of date behaviour. Dinosaurs.

i find Harry and Meghan quite unlikeable. But I am genuinely perplexed why there is such a level of vitriol from the tabloids and conservative press about her.

To me, you may dislike a person, male or female, but to suggest the kind of physical, humiliating degradation that JC does is just taking things way too far.

Camilla was pictured at a lunch with Clarkson the day after this repulsive screed was published. Also in attendance was Piers Morgan, who's waged a grinding, relentless vendetta against Markle that bears all the hallmarks of a fixation. Lest we forget, she is a patron for charities supporting victims of VAWG, an issue of epidemic proportions which sees women murdered every week.

IMO she is no fit person to act as any kind of ambassador for abused women. To make matters worse Windsor PR has not issued any statement of condemnation against Clarkson's misogynistic hate-speech. With and with recent confirmation of credible death threats against her, there is no wonder Markle feared for her safety.

How would it feel to read those words about yourself? Clarkson made me realise for the first time the hell that woman really has been up against. The silence of her in-laws speaks volumes, and says a lot about their characters.

My MIL is one of those who is obsessed by her dislike of Meghan. It is utterly bizarre. What she won’t appreciate is that her (and thousands like her) endless commentary under articles on FB will have emboldened the likes of Clarkson to think he can publish that with no repercussions.

I have people I dislike, including Clarkson,
who I have actually spent time with ( a work thing),
but there’s nothing on earth that would make me write something about him or anyone else that would even come

George RR Martin didn't just make up that scene out of thin air, just like he didn't randomly invent war, incest, murder, betrayal of guest rights etc!
The books (maybe not the dragons!) are all based on (a bit of a mish mash) of European history. Parading women through the streets to punish them actually happened. Its not even limited to medieval times- shaving a woman's head, tar and feathering her etc were all thi gs that happened during ww2 for women suspected of "collaborating" with the nazis.

I'm surprised everyone seems to think it's made up - the fact that it's based on actual history makes Clarksons comments much worse for me because he's basically saying he wants to go back to a time when women were lesser and weren't allowed to have an opinion.

Camilla is patron of a women's charity against gender abuse and violence. William is chairman or so of the FA. He never spoke to protect Meghan nor does he speak against racism in football. So I'm not surprised Camilla had a party with Clarkson, Piers and other journalists who hack at Meghan for a living. Gives step parents a bad name, endangers women and emboldens racists.
