I met a guy last night and there was a huge attraction- intense eye contact, lots of smiling and intimate looks.
There wasn't a chance to swap numbers - I can't go into why, but it was not appropriate.
He's a bit younger and I can see he has insta - should I DM him on there? I've never done this, I'm over 40 but he clearly uses inst. His profile is private but you can still message I believe.

If it wasn’t appropriate to mutually exchange numbers, how could it be any more appropriate to look him up on social media and send him a DM? I’d at least try to see him in person again first in case this becomes embarrassing - ie he’s a flirt but not interested in hooking up with a parent.

If this is real, then no, don't do it. A teacher would cringe inside out at being contacted. He was just being charming to a parent.

Over 40 and sending a 30 year old a message on insta, tragic. Cringing for you. Can't you find anyone your own age? If you need to ask how Instagram works you are too old for him. I'm late 30s and dms are are shoes.

Quite a few cringe responses on here from some people just being unnecessarily mean. What harm can it do- send the guy a message, something straight forward that if he never replies it's no odds. I reckon he'd find a way of getting your number if he wanted anything more than a ONS but you seem happy enough with that if it was the outcome.
You really have nothing to lose its just a message- go for it. If he never responds no big deal. I don't see the harm.
