Sliding into DMs

I met a guy last night and there was a huge attraction- intense eye contact, lots of smiling and intimate looks.
There wasn't a chance to swap numbers - I can't go into why, but it was not appropriate.
He's a bit younger and I can see he has insta - should I DM him on there? I've never done this, I'm over 40 but he clearly uses inst. His profile is private but you can still message I believe.
Advice please??

Was he arresting you? This makes no sense. Surely if he was so into you he would have found a way to get your number. Like, you're into him enough to stalk him on Instagram.

If you message him, I think you need to tone the language right down and keep it neutral or it may come across as creepy.

I think it would be better to follow him (on Instagram, not real life) and see if he messaged you from there. That's probably want I'd do.

Also teachers is one of those ones that people are really often wrong about. Don't DM him, he was doing his job.
