I met a guy last night and there was a huge attraction- intense eye contact, lots of smiling and intimate looks.
There wasn't a chance to swap numbers - I can't go into why, but it was not appropriate.
He's a bit younger and I can see he has insta - should I DM him on there? I've never done this, I'm over 40 but he clearly uses inst. His profile is private but you can still message I believe.

I did some of a PGCE. I think most teachers would avoid shagging/dating a parent of a child they were teaching, as you still have to see something of them sometimes for several years if anything goes wrong etc. (Don't get me wrong, I know it happens sometimes.) It'd be a bit like shitting on your own doorstep, like they say you shouldn't go out with a neighbour or whatever.

I mean, it's a different 'generation' (there's a big shift between people of, say, late 30s or whatever and anyone younger IMHO, caused by a change of ethos in the world) and a lot of them don't have much of a grasp of what professionalism is, though.

instead you could just follow him on insta.
it opens the door but allows him the chivalrous opportunity to message you first!! I think that’s what I’d do. I’d make sure he would know it was you from your profile.. you’ll be able to see if he’s looking at your stories aswell.

I used to think Sliding into your DMs was a euphemism...I have never worn Doc Martens so assumed it was a bit forward.But then I'm ancient.
Can you not follow him on Instagram and see where it leads? You can always unfollow if it turns embarrassing.
