I've seen a few women commenting that being beautiful is to be harassed and abused so it's rubbish to be beautiful.

That's not my experience.

I have never been harassed.

I've never been bothered at all.

I don't get followed. Touched.

I'm not saying that men are delightful. They're not. But they don't bother me.

And never have.

I am beautiful though.

I was scouted multiple times when I was a young woman. I did a bit of editorial modeling. It was a very seedy industry. I did not pursue it.

I've never been pretty. I'm tall and spiky

And I have never been sexuality bothered or harassed.

IME men tend to prey on vulnerable young women and girls.
You would be better off recognising that predators don’t see you as vulnerable, your shallow idea of looks don’t come into play in this scenario.

Arguably i am 'beautiful ' too - it doesn't make me hate men any less. The realisation that all of my achievements would be dismissed "because I'm female ' - that was a life lesson. I'm heavily tattooed - it was very satisfying to hear men say I'd 'ruined my looks'. Beautiful is not an achievement. Learn to build something .

Also in my experience, women who are considered "beautiful ' do get hassled a lot - its the narrative that beautiful women are public property and everyone is entitled to 'enjoy' their looks. Like they are toys, cartoons or something
