I've seen a few women commenting that being beautiful is to be harassed and abused so it's rubbish to be beautiful.

That's not my experience.

I have never been harassed.

I've never been bothered at all.

I don't get followed. Touched.

I'm not saying that men are delightful. They're not. But they don't bother me.

Beautiful women exist. How you feel about their beauty is not their responsibility.

I think most people are beautiful. Im yet to meet anyone truly ugly.

I think i got harassed a lot when i was younger because i looked older. By 11 i was 5ft6 had 30F boobs and hips. I could pass for 18. I got catcalled and shouted at in the street and it made me anxious to walk alone and go out. If i was 18 id probably have yelled back or let it was over me. I think its more to do with age

I am amazed how enraged posters are by the OP knowing she is beautiful. Why does it make you so angry that a woman can acknowledge her own beauty? OP says she did some modelling, so obviously she fits the societal idea of beauty and she knows it.

OP - I am amazed you were not harassed by men, every woman I know has been to some extent, regardless of their looks. Including me, when younger, and I am average looking.

It is the not being harassed that gives me pause, not your beauty.

Women are harassed and put on all the time, regardless of how they look.

I assume the attractive women get more unwanted attention.

Most people don't have a choice in how they look good looks or not.

Just read the first couple if pages so sorry if this has already been asked, but what is wrong with finding yourself beautiful?

Whilst beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder (and the best way to make your self beautiful is to be confident and not actually give a shit) it’s much more refreshing to have a woman appreciate her beauty. As a large size 16 I massively struggle with those women (and us larger women all know them) who are a tiny size 10 women whinging about being fat,
but threads like this make me appreciate that the reason they do this is because they’re made to feel fat and unattractive because according to some on here you’re arrogant if you feel beautiful.

I love it when women are happy with their looks no matter what I think about them (just in case anyone notices the dissonance from what I said above) and whilst I agree the OP could have possibly worded her post a bit more carefully, I think all the nasty posts saying ‘ok Hun’ and biscuits just shows that some women don’t want other women to feel attractive.

I have had plenty of hassle over the years.

Maybe it's your height that puts men off harassing you.

But don’t ever admit that you know you’re beautiful on a predominantly female site, they’ll tear you to pieces. You must put yourself down and not draw attention to yourself.
