Not putting the heating on yet

We live in the south and I’m insisting we don’t put the heating on until it gets properly cold. It’s 15 degrees overnight at the moment!!!

DP disagrees and wants it on

have you put yours on yet?

No! It's really mild, & I'm in the North!
Tell him to put another layer on..

Chickenpeppers · 27/10/2022 20:50

Ours has been on a few times over the last couple of weeks, had a few cold nights.

Applesandcarrots · 27/10/2022 20:50

Here, have a clap for your bravery....

FrostyGirl66 · 27/10/2022 20:54

Er no. It's been 18 degrees in Norfolk!

TwoRockSalmonAndAHaporthOfChips · 27/10/2022 20:55

Nope! It’s not gone below 17 in the day in the house, and we never have the heating on at night anyway, so definitely not.

Hesma · 27/10/2022 20:57

Nope, not cold enough. I’m perfectly warm right now in jeans and t-shirt

40andfit · 27/10/2022 20:57

15c over night isn’t cold. What tog is your duvet? What temperature is your house when you get up in the morning? If was 15c then I would be putting it on.

jaqpaoem · 27/10/2022 20:57

Yeah, it's been on every morning since mid September and then again during the day if needed 🤷‍♀️

Athenen0ctua · 27/10/2022 20:58

No, no point as it wouldn't click on of it was on. We still have windows open half the time.

fortheloveofflowers · 27/10/2022 21:01

Nope not on at all. My thermostat is reading 19 c, I’m in the south.
Mine will only be going on if goes below 15.

Inasec24 · 27/10/2022 21:01

It was 20 degrees in the sun here today. Not even tempted.

ChaosDemon · 27/10/2022 21:01

It's been 21 here today (outside, not my heating temp) and it's 17 now, no way is mine going on.

yerdaindicatesonbends · 27/10/2022 21:01

I had it on a few weeks ago as it dropped to below 10 daytime. But no, it’s back up to 15 again here now too (maybe 10 at night) and I’m back to sleeping with my bedroom window open.

Not yet, I'm in North England. I've layered up, but held out so far

RedWingBoots · 27/10/2022 21:04

Nope.

It was suppose to rain today.

OoooSweetChildOMine · 27/10/2022 21:05

I mean it's been 22degrees today. So no. No heating.

MintJulia · 27/10/2022 21:07

It was 20 degrees today in Hampshire. Certainly don't need heating.

We've had one frost and a few nights when it's been cool and damp. I put the heating on for the frosty morning, but otherwise, we haven't needed it.

HScully · 27/10/2022 21:07

I'm in the North and haven't had mine on yet. Live in an old cottage. It's really not that cold. There were a couple of nights in September I put an extra layer on. Woke up sweating with the warmer weather this week. Think I've acclimatised

The amount of threads similar to this are painful tbh.
just make a choice, no one needs to be thinking you’re a hero for not heating you’re home yet

SkimmyWins · 27/10/2022 21:12

Of course not, it’s not even cold yet!

We usually put ours on in December anyway
