I think both are awful and we should have a general election but if you had to choose between these two, who would you choose to be PM?

YANBU = Boris
YABU = Rishi

The infighting is astounding in its visibility. Fabricant and Bakers tweets, Dorries on LBC - far from united its like a playground.

It's delicious.

It is a relief that the possibility of the misogynistic serial liar Mr Johnson returning has gone. He could not even stop lying in his statement.

WahineToa · 24/10/2022 09:34

There’s always infighting in politics, always, our a global thing and it happens to all parties. It’s a funny watch but I do wish they’d focus more on all the work they have to do.

Well I say that if this is the only way to force acceptance of a non white PM upon the party members then so be it

Croque · 24/10/2022 09:51

Rishi is infinitely better than Liz. Nobody could argue with that? The markets seem to like the news.

akabluebell · 24/10/2022 12:19

Except Sunak is part of the toxic government, has received a fine for breaching lockdown rules, has a wife who doesn't pay her fair share of tax and is non-dom, and you think this is OK? Really?

We ended up with Liz Truss because Johnson and his allies orchestrated it. He's been planning his return since the day he resigned.

Nah.

I reckon we ended up with Truss because the blue rinse brigade wouldn't vote for Rishi.

That's why the parliamentary party is doing everything it can to try to get Mourdant to fold. Because Sunak is more strongly supported by the parliamentary party but they know the members will vote for Mourdant given the choice.

It's going to be a bit embarassing if Mourdant actually runs because the Tories are going to end up with another leader that doesn't have the most support from the pp.
