Apologies if there are other threads on this. How do we feel about it all? I don't particularly like a pile on but it seems like the tide has finally turned on these two. There was a time when everyone seemed to love them and their 'oh look we've turned up to a This Morning still pissed from an awards ceremony' was funny at the time. But I think it's gone to their heads and they've become more and more arrogant.

The queue jump situation for me was a clear sign of them thinking they are special, for want of a better phrase. Queuing showed dedication and respect but they just bypassed that. And the weak excuses since haven't helped at all. I see now Holly is consulting lawyers. It must be difficult for them to go on air knowing there's so much public bad feeling against them but I can't help but feel like they've had it coming for a while....

Agree. Holly has hitched herself to a very toxic bandwagon,

as said this is nothing about the coffin or sexuality and everything about morality. If holly had had an affair with a young male runner and in a sham marriage, the reaction would be the same. People don’t like it or a cover up

this is peoples opportunity to vent their disapproval, holly is collateral damage for colluding in it.

People hate it when they detect disingenuous behaviour and many believe Holly and Philip have been disingenuous for years.

As others have said, this latest thing is just a catalyst for a building dislike and resentment of the pair of them.

I’d also add scholfield is very damaging to the good morning brand, the wholesome good natured image they like to portray. How itv can’t See it is beyond me. But as long as the stay at homes tune in he will stay

I just want los say this, wherever you have stardom and pandering who will find arseholes. Ironically it's the fact that people can't speak their mind around certain people that leads to their inevitable downfall. For long-term success, surround yourself with people who feel they can (constructively) criticise and speak their mind and nurture transparency.

Do we have this at the BBC / ITV other important institutions in this country? Hell no.

What they did was wrong and their insincere pre-recorded BS excuse didn't help. No idea why ITV seem to bend over backwards for them though. If they listened to the public they would realise that actually P and H weren't missed at all over the summer and most people are sick to death of them.

I think there are lots of people my age and older who can remember him from children's tv and think he's still a lovely wholesome boy and can do no wrong. And they're probably ITVs main viewers.

Why has Holly become such a mega star? I'm not the target audience and don't understand. To me her ultra bleached hair and little girl mannerism seem incredibly tacky but other people must find her style and persona relatable. What is it that makes her popular and successful? I don't get it 🤔

I think this is the opportunity people have been waiting for, to move H&P on. The whole coming out thing was massively embarrassing and yet he still has pictures of his wife and children, pretending to play happy families. She just vacuous and entitled. I thought that reading out the letters from her children about the Queen, was hugely self indulgent.

I never really liked them. They think they're superior while they're really mediocre.

Also what @tuxedojunction says is exactly right. At the time those rumours came out you didn't have to look very far to find the people working behind the scenes for years spilling what they knew. Then suddenly, everything went quiet....

I don't think they did anything wrong tbh. The fact that the everyday person doesn't understand media access vs public access shouldn't affect their jobs.

There's tonnes of stuff people get faster/free access to because they're media... it's an exchange between companies not a random jumping a queue.

But there weren't there for work, they used their work passes for personal gain. That's just not nice. They must think they are VIP but as individual citizens they are not VIPs, they're just ordinary with questionable values and a massive lack of self-respect and integrity. How the might fall.

The two messed up because of being dishonest. The scales have fallen off people's eyes.
