Received perfume I didn't pay for ..aibu to keep it?

I ordered 2 make up bits from eBay.
They arrived and the next day a bottle of perfume came from the same seller (worth £100)
A week has passed and the seller has been messaging me asking me if I'm going to send the perfume back.
Then saying I can see you have it as it's been signed for (I didn't sign for it)
I paid by debit card
Can she do anything ?
Would you return it?

You should return it but the onus is on them to pay for and arrange the return.

I think morally as she has realised the mistake I would return it but I would ask them to cover postage.

The seller should refund you any cost of returning it, but I don't believe you can legally keep it even if it was sent to you by accident.

You know you didn't order or pay for it, it's not yours to keep.

You’re stealing from the seller, to the value of £100. That’s her / his livelihood for gods sake.

Send it back.

I'd return it of course. Ask for the postage back if you're worried about being out of pocket. But no, you shouldn't keep something worth £100 that wasn't for you because someone made a mistake.

Seller should pay for the return as it is their mistake but of course you should return it!

Since she contacted you I would return it but ask her to pay return costs.

I'm assuming she's a small seller / individual and not a large corporate than can write this off.

It's just her attitude stank and she didn't even give me a chance to respond before she got nasty

Yabvu. Either pay for it or return it. You don’t know what struggles that £100 will cause - especially as they’ll need to re send it or refund whoever the order was truly meant for.
In practical terms I don’t think the seller can do much barring maybe report you to eBay (who themselves may not do much) but it’s very immoral to keep this item.

Of course you need to return it, although as others have suggested you should ask for the seller to reimburse the postage costs.

I agree that it was an error and it’s unfair to keep it. You haven’t paid for it.
However, I would not be happy about having to go out to arrange return postage of this if it was an error that had nothing to do with me. I don’t live near a post office or having packing materials freely available so it would be an inconvenience to me.
The return is for the seller to arrange in my opinion.

The title literally says “AIBU to keep it?” You clearly didn’t post intending to return it, but you really should. My attitude would stink too if you sat on £100 of my money for “more than a week”.

This has just happened to me!!! Hermes delivered my parcel half a mile away. I would massively appreciate the incorrect addresses to return as I've now got to faff about making a claim etc.

I think although it would be nice to keep, you should return. The seller could be nicer about it especially as it her error!!

You say “I’ll send it once you’ve arranged the postage” - I’m sure if she’s a business seller she can send you a pre paid sticker
