To refer to her vulva or vagina would you know what it means? Even if you didn't in the moment, would it click later?

YABU - no idea what she'd be on about.

YANBU - i would know/it's an easy connection to make.

I don't think this is an appropriate topic.

LovejoysVase · 03/02/2022 22:13

I’d think she meant her wee, as in urine.

Findahouse21 · 03/02/2022 22:13

Yes I would hazard a guess

Notimeforaname · 03/02/2022 22:13

Wee wee is what we said when we wanted to go for a wee. Thats the only way I know it.

PrivateHall · 03/02/2022 22:14

YABU.

PurpleDaisies · 03/02/2022 22:14

Why on earth are you asking this?

Cardio101 · 03/02/2022 22:14

I would say she meant urine

Sparklingbrook · 03/02/2022 22:17

YABU for asking this with no context whatsoever.

Changethetoner · 03/02/2022 22:18

I've never heard it refer to a body part. Wee Wee is urine. As in "I need a wee wee" means I need urgently to go to the toilet!

ldontWanna · 03/02/2022 22:18

@PurpleDaisies

I'm on another thread where various terms for genitalia are being discussed(I'm keeping it vague as I don't want this to be made into a TAAT).

So it made me wonder about this term and whether people would make the link.

Of course if a toddler said my undies hurt my wee wee, I fell off my bike and hurt my wee wee. It typical baby talk in Canada.

Lou98 · 03/02/2022 22:20

Would be impossible to tell without knowing what context it was in

NuffSaidSam · 03/02/2022 22:20

It would depend on the context/the sentence.

Sparklingbrook · 03/02/2022 22:21

So there is no context? Confused

CrinklyCraggy · 03/02/2022 22:22

I've never heard it used to mean vulva and would think a child meant urine, unless it was very clear from the context, which of course when you're talking to a small child, things rarely are!

StillWeRise · 03/02/2022 22:22

well, you could make an educated guess based on the context, but if the girl has been taught accurate language, you wouldn't have to guess would you?

ldontWanna · 03/02/2022 22:23

Crap. Obviously I meant in context. Not just a girl randomly shouting "wee wee".

So something like my wee wee hurts/is sore . Or if they were disclosing something.

This is why it's important to teach girls to use the word vulva. There's zero ambiguity.

Fallagain · 03/02/2022 22:26

I would presume she needed the potty/toilet. If she said my wee wee is sore my first thought would be it hurts when she wees.

If a child told me their wee wee hurt or was sore, l'd think they had a UTI
MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 03/02/2022 22:26

I'm sure most people are intelligent enough to realise what she was referring to fairly quickly.

damelarue · 03/02/2022 22:27

My sons, when small, referred to their penises as their “pee pee”

I’d know the child meant something in that general area

Which could be misinterpreted to mean "it hurts when I urinate"
Bushkin · 03/02/2022 22:28

I’d assume they meant they needed to urinate

I wonder if it's more common in other countries and not so common/unheard of in others.
