@the80sweregreat

I hope these pics show him swigging wine out the bottle and looking as pissed as a fart or having a go at the karaoke or heading up the conga. Wanker.
He will say he was unaware that it was a conga and anyway he only did it for 10 mins and that he was ambushed by the Karaoke machine (like he was by Colin the Caterpillar) and he thought the microphone was a phone for doing political business type stuff.
the80sweregreat · 25/01/2022 19:24

' Agga do do do , this is a great par...
Oh, some bloody work ..

The police don't fine those who merely attended, however much you might hope otherwise

There are absolutely instances where people have been fined for attending a party they didn't organise.

GrendelsGrandma · 25/01/2022 19:29

Noo, he's been a sloppy shit for ever. Pre covid. I'm sure two kids and a pandemic doesn't help but really, he's just not got the vigour needed to understand the job. I read his aides couldn't keep him focused on any agenda at meetings, he just wanted banter and then to walk off.

I also doubt he was really that ill with covid, he was back working in downing st within about three weeks whereas the average intensive care patient is barely out of bed by then. I think he was a bit ill and it was stage managed because he wanted a trump superman effect.

Morgan married Marion Shalloe in 1991, but left her and their three children after an affair with the very married Guardian columnist, Marina Hyde. Then in 2006, after breaking up with Hyde, he became transfixed with The Daily Telegraph gossip columnist Celia Walden,
Dear Marina Hyde

And your point is?

@the80sweregreat

Sky news at the moment have a ticker tape running talking about photos at the parties with Boris Johnson in them. All were given to SG as part of her investigations. They were obviously taken at the 25 or 10 minutes he spent at least two of the parties , as he obviously wasn't there any longer , was he ? All that good food wasted . 🙄
I'm hardly a slim Jim myself but Boris certainly doesn't look like he's wasted food this last year Wink
DuncinToffee · 25/01/2022 19:42

Maybe something about Scottish independence Wink

I’m no fan, but that’s quite a harsh post. You can have no idea how ill he was or wasn’t.
the80sweregreat · 25/01/2022 19:47

I actually think he was very ill back then ..
which makes me wonder why he was keen to break the rules only a few months later on

"a woman prosecuted for breaking lockdown rules told a court she had inadvertently attended an illegal gathering. "It was not intentional...I didn't realise there would be others present"."

Birthday card lady is the one I was thinking of. And that Twitter thread is so sad.

derxa · 25/01/2022 19:54

And your point is? My point is that these journalists are all in it together and I don't trust any of their columns. They only write what their readership will lap up. This country is being run by people like Johnson and Gove. Professional bullshitters and ex journalists.

Blossomtoes · 25/01/2022 20:08

Difference is birthday card lady didn’t make the rules.

VikingOnTheFridge · 25/01/2022 20:09

@Blossomtoes

Difference is birthday card lady didn’t make the rules.
Exactly. The coronavirus regulations have been used disproportionately against those with less power while, as we see, those with most did as they liked.
longwayoff · 25/01/2022 20:18

Those journalist write opinion pieces. That's what they're employed for, they arent news reporters. What on earth is your point?

Peregrina · 25/01/2022 20:19

Difference is birthday card lady didn’t make the rules.

The Johnson apologists seem to have real difficulty understanding that if you make the rules, you set an example by sticking to them. The Queen managed to set an example.

Mayorquimby2 · 25/01/2022 20:19

"You can add
'he was ambushed by a cake'
"

And apparently the man who was ambushed by inanimate confectionary and unable to plot an escape from said cake in less than 10 minutes is the war time leader you need

the80sweregreat · 25/01/2022 20:24

The Queen did show some empathy with the public at a very hard time for her and did the right thing. Stuck to the rules.
Even she must be rolling her eyes at her PM who couldn't even stick to his own bloody rules :(
Shame on them all

VikingOnTheFridge · 25/01/2022 20:26

Imagine!

Re the queen, I don't know if this is true but did read that the government offered her the opportunity to have a funeral not subject to the covid regulations and she refused. Canny choice if so. It played well for her.

My point is that people are eulogising Marina Hyde for sticking the boot into BJ. She probably has more in common with him than with you. She has probably known him for years and doesn't give a shit about his antics. They're all part of a very privileged class.
Mayorquimby2 · 25/01/2022 20:33

Probably is doing a lot of heavy lifting there

Blossomtoes · 25/01/2022 20:37

I’m not eulogising Marina at all. I think she’s a very sharp and intelligent commentator who writes brilliantly, she just happens to be writing about the shambles in Downing Street at the moment in a very entertaining way. I love it that she takes no prisoners.
