Since the pandemic started really..it’s all seemed strange, some points I’ve convinced myself things are normal, but it’s there deep down bugging me. I just find it all so odd, the pushing of vaccines on young people for incentives, no real discussion being allowed apart from what is presented to us. Is this normal?! Or is it me that’s not 🤷🏻‍♀️Does anyone else feel like this?

I don't even know what to say to some these recent posts.

The Church of Satan, don't even worship Satan. They are actually more akin to atheists. Oddly, for a front for organised crime they aren't very organised at all. There's no physical church. Unless PP Is talking about some other Church of Satan. Its was also established in the 1960s. Musicians, entertainers etc have been blamed for immorality for a lot long the the 60s. So it's not even relevant.

The process church, doesn't even exist anymore. I also thought it was a scientology off shoot. Cant find anything the pp is talking about. Again, might be a completely different one that only the pp has heard of. Both these church's have thought to have links to crime, but non has ever been anywhere near proved. Definitely isn't fact.

The minute anyone mentions Micheal Yeadon, most people with a lack of sense are not going to listen to anymore. And why would they. If you think Micheal Yeadon, is a factual source, there's not much anyone can say that's going to convince you otherwise.

Again, this is why people need to look at what they are reading and watching and actually research that too.

What a depressing thread this is. Conspiracy theorists offering up dubious YouTube videos as The Truth while religious zealots wax fanatical about Satan controlling the world.

Both options obviously more palatable than the actual, boring reality: shit happens. Other shit is man-made and humans can be vile to one another. So, take some responsibility for it - get vaccinated, be kind, be empathic.

Both a lot easier than admitting that the only agency we have is in our hands, not vested in some shady (or holy?) power. Because with our own agency we might actually have to DO something, and that's work.

EmmaOvary · 04/08/2021 12:49

@gwenneh exactly. Another poster down post equated conspiracy theories with religion and I do think that's valid - they both fulfil the same human need.

Also, 'I see the truth but nobody else does, I'm special.'

peaceanddove · 04/08/2021 12:56

As ever, these threads illustrate the frightening number of people who are just not very good at thinking.

Yondergoat · 04/08/2021 13:15

@Mistyplanet

totally agree OP. The way unvaccinated people are being discriminated against is awful as well. Read on here this week costa in ireland are only allowing customers in the store if they are double jabbed. Its astonishing. Yet many mumsnetters were completely fine with it. Weve been badly brainwashed.
Two years ago most of MN were in agreement that children who hadn't had the MMR should be banned from school. There were threads and threads about how selfish it was to refuse, even when posters had actual experience of reactions to various or contraindications.

Yet expect adults to have a jab and how dare they.

The only odd thing is that we seem to have fallen into a parallel universe.

foxandbee · 04/08/2021 13:23

It is not Costa doing this. It is the Irish government. These are temporary restrictions to deal with the pandemic. There is a sunset clause. People can still get a coffee, they just need to be vaccinated to sit in at the moment.

foxandbee · 04/08/2021 13:30

Honestly, the way some people seem to think we can just merrily go back to total normality straight away. If you don't want a vaccine, fine. But it means you may be temporarily inconvenienced in small ways until the vaccine programme has finished rolling out and we hopefully reach herd immunity.

This is a long read, but for those who are happy to trust science over everything, it’s pretty illuminating. NSAID funding of GOF research (Gain of Function - how to increase the virulence of viruses) under Anthony Fauci is well documented and Fauci himself made several trips to Wuhan.

Also worth researching is the Wuhan Military Games held in October 2019. An international event, many athletes fell sick, both during the games and on their return to their home countries. Those that decided to speak out were visited by govt officials on their return to their home countries and ‘advised’ not to take the matter any further. This was all documented by the French journalist Elise Lucet and her documentary was aired on prime time tv on the 18th of June 2020
(Envoyé Spécial)

Not forgetting the John Hopkins Centre for Health Security ( in partnership with the CEF and the Gates foundation) Event 201 Pandemic ‘simulation’ exercise’ held on the 19th of October 2019 in New York.

China declared the outbreak on the 31st of December 2019.

None of this information comes from ‘social media’ and to dismiss those with reasonable doubts based on intelligent research and reliable, authenticated sources, as bonkers ‘Conspiracy theorists’ with mental health problems is the start of a very slippery slope indeed. I find the current obsession with and médiatisation of ‘mental health’ issues, (from Princes to Athletes and politicians, Uncle Tom Cobley and all ) to be verging on the sinister, and the trickle effect is clearly evident by the parroting on discussion boards such as this, where anyone whose thoughts and opinions don’t conform to the accepted given narrative can be accused of having mental health problems, being ‘whack jobs’ nutters and should seek help. A society where our free thinkers (once highly prized) can be bullied into silence under the guise of ‘concern for the individuals mental health,’ is an Orwellian nightmare with potentially unthinkable consequences.

Clearly there has been much frantic arse covering in the scientific world and to blindly accept otherwise whilst ridiculing those with, I believe, a justifiable sense of unease, may set a very dangerous precedent for the future.

Nicholas Wade the racist who believes in racial superiority? .

What possible reason could a discredited non-scientist and believed in racial superiority of the western white man have for wanting to spread, at best, unproven personal beliefs, at worst, dangerous lies about the Chinese?

Both a lot easier than admitting that the only agency we have is in our hands, not vested in some shady (or holy?) power. Because with our own agency we might actually have to DO something, and that's work.

It's also work to actually investigate and question, not just accept the spoon feeding we are being offered from a Government which is clearly not fit for purpose. It's much much easier to do what you are told and not to question anything.

That includes questioning why people who speak out are labelled and discredited in various ways. If someone says something that isn't just acceptance of the 'scientific facts' as we are told they are, they are just discredited. What does that tell you? I know the answer, so I don't even know why I am asking...

Geamhradh · 04/08/2021 16:21

Do you have any examples of "scientific facts" which have turned out to be not true? (Apart from the mistakes made initially by people like Fauci, or the wrong figures given by Vallance etc)

Butteredtoast55 · 04/08/2021 16:27

The fact that people are thinking conspiracy and 'something isn't adding up' shows our privilege.
This

EmmaOvary · 04/08/2021 16:33

Well, I don't have any faith in this government either, and I certainly do not accept everything they say at face value. Johnson is a corrupt, power hungry incompetent and he has blood on his hands.

BUT. That doesn't mean to say that I equally discredit SAGE, Whitty, Valance and the entire global epidemiological community.

Numbness and pins and needles in feet, hands and arms and damaged blood vessels. They are leaking basically so his hands/feet arms are red and swollen, like chilblains. It makes the skin purple and split open and because his hands are swollen he has reduced movement in them. Pre Covid he had no problems like this. It's a nightmare.
Thanks for asking 🙏🏻

If running a pandemic drill and making preparations is evidence of this being man made and deliberate, I hope all schools and public buildings stop running fire drills and having easily accessed fire extinguishers.

Correlation is not causation.

And if you've created a pandemic to depopulate the world, why the fuck would you have a drill to prepare people for it?! The question most conspiracy theorists fail to ask is Why? There is rarely a sensible, logical answer to this.
Staffy1 · 04/08/2021 19:40

I wish there were some middle ground but most people are too fearful to put their head above the parapet, lest they be labelled an nutjob or else too petrified to consider anything other than what the MSM regurgitate day after day, in the hope that the government truly does have their individual best interests at heart

I wish it wasn’t always assumed that anyone who thinks the vaccine is a good idea only does because the government says so. I don’t believe the government has individuals best interests at heart. Their priority is always the economy. But that doesn’t mean I think they’re out to kill half of us off as that wouldn’t benefit the economy.

AuntMasha · 04/08/2021 19:50

Can anyone imagine this ramshackle government actually getting it together to be part of a sinister conspiracy?

I mean - Johnson struggles to cope when in change of an umbrella.

Grin I thought the same when Gordon Brown was said to be a member of the Illuminati.
