Locked parking thread 2

Sorry everyone I didn't post a new thread last night but I was a bit freaked out by the comment about finding me online at the end.

Anyway as the world's most boring update it is still here but someone is coming round about lunchtime to pick it up.

I rang 101 and reported it and that I was concerned they'd essentially vanished. They said there wasn't anything they could do about the car as its on private land but I could be liable for any damage if I moved it and that they would check on the registered owner.

I posted it on a couple of the local Facebook groups last night saying
"Anyone know whose cat this is? Please get them to contact me urgently on xxxx as itll be being towed tomorrow"

I had a response from the guys DS and she said she'd contact him and get him ring me. He hasn't rang me but she messaged me back to say he'd collect it at lunchtime if that was OK. I've said fine but we going out at at 2 so if he's not here before then he won't be able to get it till we get back later.

And that's it really.

I really think you need to stop messaging his 'sister'. This is clearly bothering you much more than it is bothering them and they have probably realised that!

ForeverSausages · 01/08/2021 19:42

X post! Sorry Smile.

nancybotwinbloom · 01/08/2021 19:43

Tia I you very much xx

BlueEyesWhiteDragon · 01/08/2021 19:43

I might build the pond tomorrow and drop the excavated soil all over his stupid car. I couldn't get out the gate to put it elsewhere see....

@BlueEyesWhiteDragon

I've got an littke old tractor that is at death door. We were going going park her up, plant her up and let her be overgrown and home for goodness know what. I'm now thinking she might be of better service towed under cover of darkness and left on his lawn with a note "Had park here. No spaces".

I suspect his kids would have a whale of a time using her as a climbing frame and I highly suspect he is the sort who would be embarrassed at the eyesore. He strikes me as the type to whom appearances are important.

Make sure it’s legal and roadworthy etc then do it 😊
DepressedDD · 01/08/2021 19:44

I’d be tempted to post on the fb thing that it’s now been collected! 😂. If he sees that he will panic.

Gooseysgirl · 01/08/2021 19:44

Just checking back in after yesterday afternoon expecting to see jackassmobile had been picked up... I can't believe it's still there!!! I wouldn't deal with the sister any further. If he wants the car he needs to get off his arse and do his own dirty work

LavenderAskew · 01/08/2021 19:45

@BlueEyesWhiteDragon

I've also decided I need a pond at top corner of yard / track with some attack geese.
Good idea. Geese are right bastards.
atlastifoundit · 01/08/2021 19:47

OP - don't you have a rather large manure heap to get rid of? And surely such a man, concerned with appearances as he obviously is, would be only too glad of some free fertiliser for his front garden. Delivered neatly onto his drive, of course.

GrannyWeatherwaxsHatpin · 01/08/2021 19:47

Turkeys are better. They will perch on the car, make a massive mess and shit everywhere. They are also significantly less easy to scare away than chickens.

Or geese. They’re vicious buggers.

OP, you’re my hero, and I say that as someone who has frequently had to deal with people who think access lanes to farms and yards, passing places and/or gateways are convenient parking places. Had one recently who had to be asked to move from blocking an access drive - the stupid cow hadn’t even made any effort to park to one side so we could just about get a small car past, never mind a tractor or emergency vehicle. She slunk off avoiding everyone’s eye. I was all for kicking off one of her wing mirrors as a warning.

ScrumptiousBears · 01/08/2021 19:47

Aren't we waiting for photos? 🤔

ChorleyFMcominginyourears · 01/08/2021 19:48

Is there a reason it can't be towed away by a towing company? Tried to rtft but there's soooo many comments 😂

Snazzysausage · 01/08/2021 19:49

I wouldn't be surprised if he WFH or cycles to work and only uses the Ranger at weekends. He's definitely playing who'll blink first. He's most likely got a dick the size of half a twiglet.

Yesitsbess · 01/08/2021 19:49

I would highly recommend geese. However, as mentioned in the first thread, they tend to not discriminate between friend or foe...

Also they don't need a pond, decent sized paddling pool (rigid or they burst it with velociraptor claws) and they're golden.

Option on Guinea Fowl if you don't mind constant shrieking.

Ooh. I do like the idea of posting that it had now been collected

Parking in is drive with that sign would be fab idea. From other posts, we know parking on someone else’s drive is not illegal (just blocking in)

spinningspaniels · 01/08/2021 19:51

He's obviously too scared to come back Grin

CheeseCakeSunflowers · 01/08/2021 19:53

As you now know where he lives you could hand deliver an invoice for car storage.

nancybotwinbloom · 01/08/2021 19:57

Jesus Christ I cannot believe the car is still there. Read the first thread thank you for the link (just read the op comments) and read the new thread now.

Omfg. The actual cheek.

No words.

You will need a third thread soon op.

nancybotwinbloom · 01/08/2021 19:57

If we all chip in a pound each can you go away for a week Grin

notsogreenthumb · 01/08/2021 19:58

I'm trying to be mature but the petty part of me is enjoying this too much! Don't you dare give in @BlueEyesWhiteDragon

Staffholidayclubrep · 01/08/2021 19:58

He is a whimp. Too scared to collect his own car.

Just say on fb that it had clearly been abandoned by dad - does anyone know if he has had an accident or medical emergency (tilt head)

SirGawain · 01/08/2021 19:59

It would serve him right if he fire service needed emergency access. They would just knock it out of the way. Reminds me of well known sea rescue organisation who had a problem with CFs parking on their launching route. “What would you do if it was in the way of a launch?”; I asked. “Find out how much damage 20 tons of tractor can do”, was the reply.

KarlUrbansWife · 01/08/2021 19:59

You will need a third thread soon op

I think the last thread I followed that needed more than 2 threads to reach it's conclusion was the Softzilla saga....let's hope it doesn't drag on that long!
