Locked parking thread 2

Sorry everyone I didn't post a new thread last night but I was a bit freaked out by the comment about finding me online at the end.

Anyway as the world's most boring update it is still here but someone is coming round about lunchtime to pick it up.

I rang 101 and reported it and that I was concerned they'd essentially vanished. They said there wasn't anything they could do about the car as its on private land but I could be liable for any damage if I moved it and that they would check on the registered owner.

I posted it on a couple of the local Facebook groups last night saying
"Anyone know whose cat this is? Please get them to contact me urgently on xxxx as itll be being towed tomorrow"

I had a response from the guys DS and she said she'd contact him and get him ring me. He hasn't rang me but she messaged me back to say he'd collect it at lunchtime if that was OK. I've said fine but we going out at at 2 so if he's not here before then he won't be able to get it till we get back later.

And that's it really.

I would let all the tyres down. He can't prove the OP did it. Then drain off the petrol. If he's left his vehicle there unsupervised there is nothing he can prove.

I know who he is now anyway as someone has posted on the FB post with a "isn't this your beast xxxx. Hope it's not been jacked". His profile is pretty locked down but what I believe is his wife's is relatively open (we have 3 friends in common lol) and there's pics of them out and about with the kids.

The nice part of me wants to message and arrange collection because tbh much as I'd love to be some sort of aloof, witty make him squirm type when he came to collect I'm more like to babble, apologise and just let him out possibly after making him wait.

The done part of me thinks fuck him. He's only local. He could have come back at anytime and honestly whilst it hasn't inconvenienced me he doesn't know that and that's not really the point. They know where I am if they want the car.

@BlueEyesWhiteDragon where do the FC usually tow cars to? Could you ask them NOT to tow it to the car park opposite...?

Old cars make excellent nest boxes for hens, I believe. Fill with whatever hens need, add hens - and then have as many eggs as you need for the Yorkshires.

Turkeys are better. They will perch on the car, make a massive mess and shit everywhere. They are also significantly less easy to scare away than chickens.

Thats a great idea 🙄 So after the car being left for over 24 hours the OP would then have to wait even longer for him to sort out the tyres and get petrol.

Honestly some of the suggestions on here are crazy.

I've got an littke old tractor that is at death door. We were going going park her up, plant her up and let her be overgrown and home for goodness know what. I'm now thinking she might be of better service towed under cover of darkness and left on his lawn with a note "Had park here. No spaces".

I suspect his kids would have a whale of a time using her as a climbing frame and I highly suspect he is the sort who would be embarrassed at the eyesore. He strikes me as the type to whom appearances are important.

I agree there is no need to escalate this (from your side) but he doesn’t deserve a get out of jail free card and he definitely doesn’t deserve an apology. YOU deserve an apology.

I read the first thread this morning and the start of this one, and I've just finished it all and I cannot believe he has still not come to get his car??!!

So he can be accused of several things:

1) lying about only being 5 minutes

It’s now, what, 16-17 hours his car has been left on your property?

It's even worse than that - it's more than 30 hours!!
