I didn’t know places like this existed in London! So Am I being unreasonable in thinking that it would be amazing? Or is there something I’m missing?!

You trying to sell it OP? Grin

Cookiecrumblepie · 08/03/2021 16:22

Haha I wish! I’m just googling and dreaming of my life if I won lotto!

what on earth is magical about it? and the carpeting?!?! why???

Cookiecrumblepie · 08/03/2021 16:23

It has a massive shared garden with orchards. Sorry should have elaborated...so much outdoor space in London just surprised me.

I think I am the one missing something, I was expecting a mansion or something, can’t see what is special about this property? (Not being snarky)

Newfor2021 · 08/03/2021 16:24

£750k and no wardrobe, no back garden, no privacy and neighbours rattling about either side! No thanks Grin

It's a typical mews house. They were built for the staff that worked in the nearby grand house. Lovely setting.

LaurieFairyCake · 08/03/2021 16:26

I wonder how far it is from the 6 acres ?

The back garden is fine (a pretty good size patio) but no gate to the orchard or 6 acres

So no direct access

Hmmph · 08/03/2021 16:28

Massive shared garden with lots and lots of others though. And just a tiny pokey patio for yourselves.

I’d rather have a bigger place and private garden and go to the many London parks instead.

To me, it seems eyewateringly expensive. I’d rather live outside London and buy so much more for that money!

Souther · 08/03/2021 16:29

Its tiny and a townhouse

enigma16 · 08/03/2021 16:29

Magical Streatham! Grin

RedMarauder · 08/03/2021 16:29

I wonder how the neighbours would take you running around the orchard.

Chewingle · 08/03/2021 16:30

I’m guessing you’re not a Londoner OP or have ever previously lived or worked there?

goodbyelenin · 08/03/2021 16:31

4 bed for £740 is not bad, it's quite affordable for the area.

Lightsabre · 08/03/2021 16:32

Bet the service charges are hefty.

DavidsSchitt · 08/03/2021 16:32

Not my idea of fun but crack on OP

arethereanyleftatall · 08/03/2021 16:33

Um? If you're just choosing any house at all ever, this is way way down on the list. So, I reckon it's yours and you're drumming up some business. But, no, not for me.

in this part of london we call a massive shared garden "a park".

My thoughts exactly! Magical my arse....
wonderstuff · 08/03/2021 16:36

I thought the price for the location doesn't see too bad, but it does look very small for a 4 bed. I'm an hour from Waterloo and you could get a good sized house with a really nice private garden here for that much and be able to walk in many acres of nice surrounding countryside.

Cookiecrumblepie · 08/03/2021 16:37

I’m not from London so that’s probably why I’m imagining it to be better than it is. I just thought for shared garden, it would have less people than a park, but be a beautiful space that is well maintained. Just looked nice and low maintenance, and still closeish to London.

Also it is absolutely not my property! I promise, was just posting for fun to get opinions.

It looks a fair space for London (as a non Londoner) but I’d rather live somewhere more magical with my own orchard and space to breathe for that money!

ChocOrange1 · 08/03/2021 16:39

If I had £700k I would be buying a huge house with a large private garden outside of London, not a tiny townhouse with a tiny courtyard garden. The shared gardens are nice enough but hardly worth the hefty price tag.

LadyCounterblast · 08/03/2021 16:40

I've lived in the area for over a decade and this is genuinely the first time I have heard the words 'magical' and 'Streatham' in the same sentence.

Not my style but you dream on OP Grin
