I didn’t know places like this existed in London! So Am I being unreasonable in thinking that it would be amazing? Or is there something I’m missing?!

I'm not keen on mews houses and shared gardens, or service charges. Too poky and dark. Theres lots for sale in and around Streatham of a similar size for a similar price. e.g. this one:
