Why do they do this? Ive seen two in the last 24 hours! Nothing remotely insulting, libellous or argumentative on them! It's like the only discussion with which they agree is allowed to take place! I personally think it spoils MN, they will probably remove this discussion pretty sharpish anyway!

The problem is, in the good old days, how often would you have to apologise for something you'd said which had inadvertedly caused offence? Maybe 4 or 5 times a year at a push?

Nowadays we have those who seem to be 'professionally offended'. They manage to be offended several times a day and demand that others live in a state of constant self-flagellation and apologise for daring to exist basically. This latter group are not allowed to be offended themselves ever

Both the word 'offence' and the word 'apology' seem to have lost their meaning completely
