Personally I don’t like the idea of a bathtub in the bedroom! I do see it more often now but usually attic conversations

IggyAce · 07/02/2021 05:54

For me it was photo 4 how on earth did they get planning permission for it, the whole house is out of place & an eyesore compared to the surrounding area.
But yes very odd bathroom placement in a bedroom.

ImIncogniiiiiito · 07/02/2021 05:55

I don't actually mind the bathtub, open plan, in the bedroom, but a toilet?? Envy (not envy)...

oohmamama · 07/02/2021 05:56

Yeah it is weird having a bath in a bedroom.
But worse is the layout of downstairs. The kitchen and the barrow 'family room' need knocking together to be a kitchen diner: they did half the job.

That long room and then a kitchen you can't really eat in is just odd in a house of this size and price.

Nice house though!!

EmmaGrundyForPM · 07/02/2021 05:56

@LondonMiss it's not the bathtub in the bedroom that bothers me, its the toilet!

Dotinthecity · 07/02/2021 06:00

The whole house needs a good sort out inside. The layout is dreadful.

LondonMiss · 07/02/2021 06:03

Oh I had missed the toilet from the pics, thought it was just a bath 🙈.
I think maybe it’s had a lot of extensions hence the odd layout l

RainingBatsAndFrogs · 07/02/2021 06:05

The heating bills must be massive.

That huge triple height atrium of the family room, and then the room described as a sitting room (with another dining table) doesn’t look tall enough to stand up in.

And it’s painted blue.

oohmamama · 07/02/2021 06:06

I can see the loo from the layout but not in the pics?

Aprilx · 07/02/2021 06:09

The bath in the bedroom is fine, but when you look at the plans it is evident there is a toilet in an open plan room. Yuk.

The house looks out of place and is not well laid out, the family room is where most time will be spent and it is too narrow, like an afterthought.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 07/02/2021 06:12

The estate agent has taken the photo at an angle to ensure the loo isn't shown but its clear from the photo that there's just a folding, see through screen and the floor plan shows no wall. Even though there is the space to put a wall in. I just can't imagine lying in bed whilst your other half takes a dump 3 feet from your head.

Bedroom 5 looks normal on plan but measurements say 1.2 metres wide!

Porridgeoat · 07/02/2021 06:13

I like the Bath in the bedroom. Would love to know the height of the dining room and whether tall guests walk through the space on their knees, dinner plate in hand

SnugglySnerd · 07/02/2021 06:18

I don't like baths or toilets in the bathroom but actually the whole house was fairly hideous so it wasn't the only thing that put me off!

EmmaGrundyForPM · 07/02/2021 06:19

The whole bathroom is in the bedroom- bath, sink and toilet.

They're sex-people Lynne (it's the right area too).

Tombero · 07/02/2021 06:27

Can someone explain picture 6 to me?

KatyClaire · 07/02/2021 06:36

Whyyyyyyyy

Oversize · 07/02/2021 06:43

There's awkwardness in almost every photo.

SarahBellam · 07/02/2021 06:45

I think the house is lovely and blimey, you get a lot for your money in Ipswich. I’d just box in that Beth room and think no more of it.

KatyClaire · 07/02/2021 06:45

It’s a weird and ugly house generally

PurBal · 07/02/2021 06:49

I would guess it's been used as some sort of guesthouse tbh

Clutterbugsmum · 07/02/2021 06:51

I think the whole house is odd, it has very strange layout with a lot of wasted space, and long rooms.

Even the currant owners can't lay out furniture with out blocking doorways.

Purplerayhan · 07/02/2021 07:04

Mean spirited OP. I'm sure we could all find something to bitch at in your house photos if you put the upHmm

PinkyParrot · 07/02/2021 07:11

Big rooms and high ceilings, and worse huge windows (even if they're double-glazed) just make me think woolly jumpers - because I'd probably need 3 to be warm when watching tv in the evening.
