The whole thing gives me a migraine from the hideous stone cladding in the living room to the over the top fountain in the garden.

Chickychickydodah · 07/02/2021 09:50

I don’t like it, inside looks like it’s built in a shipping container . For that money I’d want something nicer with character.

LadyCounterblast · 07/02/2021 09:52

Gives me bad vibes.

pinkearedcow · 07/02/2021 09:55

Bluntness100 I think they have taken what was a nice old house in need of an update and ruined it. Nothing wrong with saying so. None of us have hurled abuse.

Melroses · 07/02/2021 09:56

I doubt they have lived there long. They probably bought it to do it up by the looks of it. Lots of people moving out of London.

pinkearedcow · 07/02/2021 09:56

Serin it used to be a thing to have vanity units in bedrooms. They were all ripped out when it became old fashioned and I suspect baths in bedrooms will meet a similar fate.

Boardeduplife · 07/02/2021 10:02

What a cold and soulless house.

lifeinlimbo2020 · 07/02/2021 10:09

@Carryingon

It looks like you can’t stand up in the dining room.
I thought this. Looks like something out of Alice In Wonderland
mouldyhouse101 · 07/02/2021 10:12

How delightful you all sound

TatianaBis · 07/02/2021 10:21

Bad footballer taste and some incompetent layout choices. Very odd.

Whenwillow · 07/02/2021 10:21

Makes me very happy to live in my nice old terraced ex-council house, which contains one normal bathroom Smile

PhillipPhillop · 07/02/2021 10:26

This shows the old cottage and the 'large' extension by the Airy family. They wouldn't believe their eyes if they saw the size of it now!

viques · 07/02/2021 10:29

@Clutterbugsmum

I think the whole house is odd, it has very strange layout with a lot of wasted space, and long rooms.

Even the currant owners can't lay out furniture with out blocking doorways.

Indeed. Anyone willing to join in in a raid to move that sofa...........we could swap it for one of the little sofas in the bedrooms.

I am puzzled and intrigued by the huge cinema games room, that has its own access door and stairwell. Are cinema rooms usually size for size replicas of the small screen at my local odeon?

Shame, the cottage was pretty.

LadyEloise · 07/02/2021 10:34

Back in the day most people had a loo in their bedroom - it was called a bed pan

Glad we've moved on Smile

TwelvePaws · 07/02/2021 10:34

Maybe all the people who obviously have much nicer homes should post photos of their house and we could all judge.
Someone will buy this house, all houses tend to sell as someone likes them even if others don’t. Then the sellers will probably buy another million pound house and be just as happy as you lot clearly are. Not bitter and jealous at all are you. 😉

TatianaBis · 07/02/2021 10:36

Baths in bedrooms is a fad. People will eventually twig that without an extractor fan the curtains will get damp.

midsomermurderess · 07/02/2021 10:46

I don't much mind the bath in that bedroom. Overall, I'm not keen on en-suites though. I don't have one but would have strict rules around it's use if I did, eg no shitting in there.

midsomermurderess · 07/02/2021 10:47

Oh, it's the toilet, not the bath. Sorry.

CounsellorTroi · 07/02/2021 10:48

@MyOtherProfile

The really narrow family room is what struck me. That and them having two completely different dining suites. I can't work out where the second one is.

Totally missed the loo in the bedroom but it would be easy to put up a walk and box it off as an en suite.

The TV in the family room looks bigger than the one in the cinema/games room.
ceeveebee · 07/02/2021 10:56

We have a toilet and bath in our bedroom (not our choice, was like that when we moved in) - it’s a huge open plan room that is the whole loft - the toilet is a long way from the bed area but we never ever use it!! Would love to build a wall to separate it off but there are too many windows and skylights to do it easily

jambeforeclottedcream · 07/02/2021 11:00

That sofa area looks very long and thin.

And I don't get why they have two dining room tables. One being in the actual lounge. And that table looks very odd in an otherwise contemporary house

EmmaGrundyForPM · 07/02/2021 11:15

It's the loo not the bath that's the issue. I am just amazed there is a fad for people having a loo in their bedroom. Especially when there's enough space for a wall to screen it off

Equally a poo smelling bedroom will make them think twice next time, no?
