To think not everyone washes their hands after every single wee when in their own home?

Anything other than a wee, yes of course.

But washing hands after every bloody wee is overkill in my opinion

@paintfairy

I've never had food poisoning. I'm rarely ill. I like to think that's down to my lack of paranoia about being clean. You don't build up an immune system by constantly washing hands! And when the zombie apocalypse comes its survival of the fittest. I know I'll be fine. 😬🤣
I’m fine so sod the rest , charming .
midnightstar66 · 07/02/2021 12:53

@ everyone should be washing their hands before handling food intended for others - absolutely no exceptions. No one is denying that. You washing your hands before eating wouldn't have helped.

Happyone8 · 07/02/2021 12:58

@midnightstar66 so you think people that can’t be bothered to wash after a wee - will wash hands before food preparation 😂

OunceOfFlounce · 07/02/2021 13:01

Well, I've found this thread pretty interesting, especially the 'I’m fine so sod the rest , charming ' pov. If someone's shedding Ecoli surely they'll be ill themselves. Unless there is something to the idea that non washers are making their immune systems more robust somehow? Curious!

Maybe this is where the infection happens so that's where people want to be careful? It seems to work for many households.

midnightstar66 · 07/02/2021 13:04

Well yes, the people on this thread that say they don't always wash after a quick wee have without exception said they do wash after having a poo or preparing food. It's 2 very different risk levels after all.

GreenSlide · 07/02/2021 13:09

I soak my entire body in a weak bleach solution several times a day in case of GERMS 🦠

StarlightLady · 07/02/2021 13:10

Is it 2 different risk levels when you use the same flush button/handle? I live alone and the curent situation means it has been a long time since I’ve had a friend to stay. But l still wah my hands after a wee.

sadpapercourtesan · 07/02/2021 13:13

I have had myself laminated. Job done Smile

Yes! You can carry ecoli germs and have no symptoms- yet pass that and cause serious illness in an old people or a young child . So as I said - a lot of selfish people , with poor hygiene , risking others . I also highly doubt posters wash their hands at other times if they think wees are fine. Unhygienic people are normally like that generally in my experience, whatever they claim on here. The toilet area isn’t hygienic - end of . Doesn’t matter if your wee is sterile .
Ding123 · 07/02/2021 13:18

Is this a British or European thing? Genuinely curious. I know in many cultures people wash their bottoms after a wee or poo so it's a given that they wash their hands.

SoupDragon · 07/02/2021 13:31

It's not a British thing.

It's a "people" thing.

paintfairy · 07/02/2021 13:46

@Happyone8 and how does me not washing my hands in my own home affect you exactly? 🤔

Happyone8 · 07/02/2021 13:50

@paintfairy I’m guessing you have guests over ? I’m guessing you might leave your house after a wee and touch things outside ?
At my ds nursery they make cakes when it’s their child’s birthday - I will be binning those from now on!

paintfairy · 07/02/2021 13:55

@Happyone8 you would never be a guest in my house, it's really not an issue. I'm sure the nursery people will enjoy your gratitude. I think you have the wrong username......

Dogs don't wash their hands. Lick all sorts, including their arse. Guess what? Still alive! Must be a miracle.....

Happyone8 · 07/02/2021 13:58

@paintfairy you are off with the fairies . I’m not talking about being your guest - I’m talking generally that you aren’t an island in your own home and your lack of washing is gross for anyone who has the misfortune to come into contact with your germs.
You’re talking about dogs now - ok let’s all lick our asses too
Some people need to go back to school

Because you then go out into a supermarket and touch things. Or your friend comes to visit and you make her a cup of tea.

Or just wash your damn hands like an adult.

Happyone8 · 07/02/2021 14:03

@StanfordPines 👍🏻👏

paintfairy · 07/02/2021 14:04

@StanfordPines actually I can't tell you the last time I went into a supermarket. So you are incorrect.
I love the way everyone loves to make assumptions about other people and dictate how they live their lives. It's really unnecessary.

Happyone8 · 07/02/2021 14:07

@paintfairy could not care less what other people do except when it affects others . Your behaviour is gross , the end

Happyone8 · 07/02/2021 14:09

And you never leave your house or have guests ever - in your entire life . Yeah Ok. Like I said - off with the fairies

hamsterchump · 07/02/2021 14:12

Bleurgh can't believe people don't wash their hands after the loo, yes every time. What I really don't understand is people who don't wash their hands in public toilets, often mothers with kids who they yank away from the sinks, even with me staring and obviously judging, what's wrong with them?

paintfairy · 07/02/2021 14:14

@Happyone8 if it was an issue, I'd be ill. I've never been ill. Never had a stomach bug or sickness bug as an adult. Ever. So it's really not a concern.
People creating drama over nothing and trying to control others lives is more of a problem IMO. Maybe get a hobby?

OunceOfFlounce · 07/02/2021 14:17

I wonder if everyone on this thread who doesn't wash their hands after a wee really is lying, and they do actually have families rife with repeat illness? Hm.

Happyone8 · 07/02/2021 14:21

Again not all about you - obviously is though !
