But.... the other people in your house have also touched the flush. After wiping their bum. And if they are anything like my four year old.... well let’s just say I always wash my hands after a wee.

Why have you put ‘germs’ in inverted commas? Your bathroom will most definitely have bacteria. From the rest of your family who also may use the bathroom and not wash their hands. We are all different but washing hands after the loo is basic hygiene. But yes you see this in public loos too. People just walk out. Yuk.

Do these people with poor hand hygiene wash their hands before they leave their house, or are they using their grubby hands when out and about on public transport, in shops etc.

It takes 52 sheets if toilet paper to stop any urine from getting on your hands when you wipe....if your using 52 sheets of toilet paper every time you wee you're doing it wrong
