To think not everyone washes their hands after every single wee when in their own home?

Anything other than a wee, yes of course.

But washing hands after every bloody wee is overkill in my opinion

But.... the other people in your house have also touched the flush. After wiping their bum. And if they are anything like my four year old.... well let’s just say I always wash my hands after a wee.

Toorapid · 05/02/2021 22:43

@saleboat

What's actually disgusting though? Tell me

You've got piss on your hands, so, there is that.

I think if you're getting it on your hands you're doing it wrong.
heatedroller · 05/02/2021 22:43

'Grim' but you get back into bed with unwashed hands! The horror!

OP posts:
Rose789 · 05/02/2021 22:43

Ewww. That’s grim.
Even my 5 year old wouldn’t leave the bathroom without washing her hands

HelloThereMeHearties · 05/02/2021 22:43

So you'd be cool if you went to someone's house and they went to the loo, didn't wash afterwards, then made you a sandwich?

Cissyandflora · 05/02/2021 22:43

Why have you put ‘germs’ in inverted commas? Your bathroom will most definitely have bacteria. From the rest of your family who also may use the bathroom and not wash their hands. We are all different but washing hands after the loo is basic hygiene. But yes you see this in public loos too. People just walk out. Yuk.

SimonJT · 05/02/2021 22:43

Do these people with poor hand hygiene wash their hands before they leave their house, or are they using their grubby hands when out and about on public transport, in shops etc.

riddles26 · 05/02/2021 22:44

You're touching all the same surfaces that were touched by whoever last did other things on the toilet and then spreading them round the home 🤢🤢🤢

Unless every surface touched is bleached between every single use, it is disgusting

grapewine · 05/02/2021 22:44

This place is an actual revelation at times...

Why wouldn't you wash your hands? It's two minutes and basic hygiene.

heatedroller · 05/02/2021 22:44

We're all teeming with bacteria you know!

I haven't died yet, and we're not a family that gets ill either

Do you wash your hands before preparing food?

Iamanunsafebuilding · 05/02/2021 22:44

Every single time, daytime or middle of the night. People who don't are grim

Dopo · 05/02/2021 22:44

So many grubs

heatedroller · 05/02/2021 22:45

@icelollycraving

Do you wash your hands before preparing food?
Obviously! Just in case.

VestaTilley · 05/02/2021 22:45

I do. I’m always washing my hands.

mustardmustard · 05/02/2021 22:45

39 weeks pregnant here and weeing every few minutes! If I washed my hand after every wee (most cannot be classified as an actual wee, more a dribble!) then I would never leave the toilet!

M0rT · 05/02/2021 22:45

It takes 52 sheets if toilet paper to stop any urine from getting on your hands when you wipe....if your using 52 sheets of toilet paper every time you wee you're doing it wrong Grin

AnnabelleMarx · 05/02/2021 22:45

I think it’s very unlikely someone who doesn’t always wash their hands has an ‘immaculate’ toilet.

Sparklingbrook · 05/02/2021 22:45

I haven't died yet

Oh well that’s ok then . Confused

Piranesio · 05/02/2021 22:46

So you wash your hands after a shit but not a pee? And use the logic that it's ok because you don't buse your hand...

Surely, you don't use your hand to wipe after a shit?!

Surely you're old enough not to get shit on your hand if you also use paper?

So what's the actual difference?

Yes, if course I always wash my hands. After either.

LunaNorth · 05/02/2021 22:46

I have to. I feel weird if I don’t. My hands feel all warm and clammy.

(And no, I don’t wee on them).

Where did you get this from?

It's cleaned every day thank you

Liquid soaks through paper. Science.

Absolutely scruffy not to wash hands.

Not washing hands is doing it wrong.

HTH.

AnnabelleMarx · 05/02/2021 22:47

Don’t get why it’s obvious that you’d wash your hands before preparing food?

It’s just a bit of wee.....that you’re happy to spread to your bedding, your face, your partner.....why not your food?
