To think not everyone washes their hands after every single wee when in their own home?

Anything other than a wee, yes of course.

But washing hands after every bloody wee is overkill in my opinion

And interestingly.... how many of you claiming to always wash your hands after using the toilet keep your toothbrush uncovered in the bathroom?

(Waiting for people to now claim that of course they don’t, their toothbrushes are kept in hermetically sealed boxes Grin)

maddening · 05/02/2021 23:00

I do every time.

torquewench · 05/02/2021 23:01

So if when I get up (twice) in the middle of the night to go for a wee, dont touch the loo seat, or wipe, or put my hands anywhere near my fanny, but just pull up my pants and fall back into bed, do i need to wash them or no?

NotImpossible · 05/02/2021 23:01

I do. And I'm truly gross by most MN standards.

StanfordPines · 05/02/2021 23:01

@iveturnedintoachip

I thought everyone washed their hands after wee, I never even assumed it was a thing not too!
When the world opens again just observe the next time you use a public toilet. The amount of people who don’t is shocking.

You certainly need to wash your sheets if you’re getting in bed without cleaning yourself.

You don’t wipe?
BohemianDream · 05/02/2021 23:03

I don't always bother after a pee no. I don't see how the tiniest trace of piss going to be harmful in way. It's no big deal surely?
I don't see what that has to do with preparing food, obviously I know that I'm going to eat and will wash my hands before, but not because I'm scared there's any urine on them.
Jesus, have none of you ever been camping.

Nonamesavail · 05/02/2021 23:03

It won't go through to sheets lol

Carboholic · 05/02/2021 23:03

Vile. Of course I do. Confused

After this thread I’m never shaking hands with anyone ever again.

Disgusting.

SmallPrawnEnergy · 05/02/2021 23:03

I’m laughing at the “I wouldn’t never eat or drink at someone’s house that doesn’t wash their hands every single time they even breathe in the bathroom” ... you probably already have Grin

bendmeoverbackwards · 05/02/2021 23:03

@Piranesio

So you wash your hands after a shit but not a pee? And use the logic that it's ok because you don't buse your hand...

Surely, you don't use your hand to wipe after a shit?!

Surely you're old enough not to get shit on your hand if you also use paper?

So what's the actual difference?

Yes, if course I always wash my hands. After either.

Poo is full of germs. Fresh wee is sterile I think. Plus if you wipe with toilet paper you don’t get wee on your hands.
TitInATrance · 05/02/2021 23:03

No, I don’t. I live on my own, keep everything clean, and can remember when the downstairs loo was usually outdoors. Still don’t have a washbasin in the downstairs one and never let visitors in it!

SunshineCake · 05/02/2021 23:03

Imwash my hands after every visit to the loo and sing happy birthday twice. Don't want covid again.

Why wouldn't you wash your hands? Embarrassing.

MiaMc · 05/02/2021 23:05

Surely it’s no big deal just to wash your bloody hands!

asdnamechange · 05/02/2021 23:05

Fresh wee is sterile I think.
It’s not

Yes I’ve been camping, quite a few times, you don’t have to be dirty to go camping.
MiaMc · 05/02/2021 23:05

@bendmeoverbackwards omg, RTFT !

SpicyTool75 · 05/02/2021 23:05

If you flush, wash your hands, especially if you have kids Smile

LongPauseNoAnswer · 05/02/2021 23:05

I thought not washing hands was bad but not wiping AND not washing your hands. Grim.

userintgerain · 05/02/2021 23:05

Currently glad I'm not allowed in anyone else's house!

Unless you sanitise them flush button after every person, think about what is on your hands?!

IDKNABYBIF22 · 05/02/2021 23:05

I close the toilet lid before I flush to keep all the sharticles in there, my toothbrush is kept behind the glass shower screen.

Cuppaand2biscuits · 05/02/2021 23:06

Nope, I don't wash my hands after a wee at home and neither do the kids. We don't get sick so obviously our bits and the toilet flush are clean enough.

greendress789 · 05/02/2021 23:06

Of course I do!

TheSoapyFrog · 05/02/2021 23:06

Yep. Wash my hands after every single wee. Always have and always will.
