Just wondered what people's thoughts were following the allegations.
I do think it's awful he's effectively been sacked from all employment before having been found guilty of any allegations.

@YrHenWrach who did you report this to at the time?

That's a very accusatory message when she was herself 15 years old at the time. What does it matter what she did or did not do? Is she on trial here?

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 04/02/2021 21:28

PTH20 let's not get into blaming others for not reporting his actions.

At 15 hardly any of us would have spoken out, especially in those circumstances.

@bourbonne what’s accusatory about asking someone to who they reported a violent rape of a child?

InsideOfEmptiness · 04/02/2021 21:33
@YrHenWrach who did you report this to at the time?
I really can't stand it when people come out with this kind of shit as a 'gotcha'. You know the answer is most likely nobody. Because the poster was only young themselves at the time, and possibly didn't know what to do. Or maybe because the victim didn't want it reported.

Fucking hell, some people really will go to any lengths to cast blame on women for the crimes perpetuated by men.

PTH20 · 04/02/2021 21:33

Why not?

strawberriesontheNeva · 04/02/2021 21:34

What's happened? I haven't heard anything about MM in years.

ZednotZee · 04/02/2021 21:35

PTH20 oh I dunno, maybe asking someone to account for their actions when they, themselves were a child?

Behave.

bourbonne · 04/02/2021 21:36
@bourbonne what’s accusatory about asking someone to who they reported a violent rape of a child?
Given that the poster did not say she reported it, the question obviously suggests that she (also a child) should have reported it and that she is at fault if she didn't.

Why did you ask? Did you misunderstand and think that she had said that she reported it? Were you genuinely curious who she reported it to? Would it have made a difference?

PTH20 · 04/02/2021 21:36

I find some of these viewpoints justifying non reporting of violent sexual crimes so abhorrent Sad

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 04/02/2021 21:37

Why not?

Its not the responsibility of a child to report an alleged assault and rape of another child.

The poster didn't even realise what it was other than 'rough sex' at the time. She has only realised while looking back with life experience through an adults eyes.

bourbonne · 04/02/2021 21:37

You're only making yourself look stupid.

TinkerPony · 04/02/2021 21:38

Im sure I read somewhere that MM was abusive on a music video to singer Lana del Ray. Have she sopken out?

ZednotZee · 04/02/2021 21:38

Presumably more abhorrent than the act itself, as seemingly you seek to place the blame elsewhere.

As I said before; behave yourself you daft melt.

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 04/02/2021 21:38

I find it abhorrent that you're putting more responsibility on a 15 year old girl than on a fully grown rapist for his crimes.

PTH20 · 04/02/2021 21:39

We should all be accountable for preventing harm coming to those that are in some way vulnerable and/ or victims. Secrecy and silence just contributes to these abusers to continue on causing misery

bourbonne · 04/02/2021 21:40

Shall we stop giving oxygen to this mad derail?

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 04/02/2021 21:43

Shall we stop giving oxygen to this mad derail?

Very good plan. Anyone who really places the responsibility for rape on a 15 year old rather than the rapist himself really isn't worth arguing with.

PTH20 · 04/02/2021 21:44

I’m not a mad derail just because I think someone should have reported a violent rape. Even if it only came to be realised many years later, we all have a responsibility to try to stop those who commit these crimes.

InsideOfEmptiness · 04/02/2021 21:45

@bourbonne

Shall we stop giving oxygen to this mad derail?
Yes, you're right, we definitely should. I have a lot more that I'd like to say, but they're not going to listen and clearly only want to derail the thread / goad people. So best ignored.
PTH20 · 04/02/2021 21:45

Of course it is the rapist who is responsible for the rape. When did I say that is isn’t? He is utterly vile

InsideOfEmptiness · 04/02/2021 21:47

@PTH20

You can back pedal and be as disingenuous as you like, I think it's quite clear that that was not the point that you were originally attempting to make.
YrHenWrach · 04/02/2021 21:50
@YrHenWrach who did you report this to at the time?
Nobody. I was 15, possibly 16, and to be perfectly honest, had no idea that it was rape. 25 years later, I am perfectly cognisant of what it actually was. I can't even remember her name, so there's nothing I can do now except hope that she comes forward herself.

Mybeautifulwinycette · 04/02/2021 21:50

Reading the tweets on Twitter the stuff is incredible. I can only hope that like pp said this is a precursor to others being bought to justice.
