To have found Harry&Meghans NY podcast quite uplifting

(And it was v cute to hear Archie speaking also)

Just that really. Yes there was some cheesy bits with some speaker talk of “nourishment” (cringe) by reading children’s books, but most of it was good and positive. Nice mix of contributors. Well done Harry & Meghan.

OP posts:

Each to their own OP, but the two of them are just pretend upmarket reality celebrities. They produce trash in the same way as trash reality shows are produced. There is so much content out there, I would not choose to listen to that.

LookAtThatCritter · 30/12/2020 16:46

I listened to snippets of it and it was ridiculous. Honestly embarrassing.

iklboo · 30/12/2020 16:49

I'm just here for the inevitable deletion message. They're starting to turn in Kopy Kat Kardashians.

RickiTarr · 30/12/2020 16:51

I only managed the trailer.

What is their USP it area of expertise beyond being part of the BRF? I don’t get it, I really don’t.

Were they promoting charitable activities on the full podcast? Or was it more of a “warm fuzzies” type thing?

RickiTarr · 30/12/2020 16:53

I think you should try to explain the genre/content/purpose to those of us who haven’t heard it @SunscreenCentral

amateursleuth · 30/12/2020 16:58

What did the podcast say about what Archwell is going to do? After all the business about 'creating content that unlocks action' I'd like to know what the action is.

Yes, me too.

It’s not necessarily a bad thing that they are podcasting but the content and aims are crucial, especially as they are apparently keen to hang on to their titles.

Come on OP. You started the thread. Fill us in.

Fairyliz · 30/12/2020 17:28

No one would be interested in them if they weren’t part of the royal family, yet they chose to leave.
What actually skills/talents do they possess to warrant the vast sums given to them?

thebabessavedme · 30/12/2020 17:31

I would say that right now, these two people are totally irrelevent to anyone with any sort of brain and free thought.

They need to start understanding that they have entered the 'sorry, who?'
realm.

MrsGrindah · 30/12/2020 17:36

Well Netflix and Spotify have heard of them to the tune of $$$

isitspringyet · 30/12/2020 17:38

If I wanted a podcast to inspire these two are the last one I’d listen to. But some wannabes despatching kindness and paraphrasing syrupy stuff. Dr Chatsrgees are fab and authentic. Surprised the normally secretive behaviour they profess to desire around their son was relaxed.

lifestooshort123 · 30/12/2020 17:39

I listened to extracts and wanted to be sick in a bucket.

thebabessavedme · 30/12/2020 17:40

Unless H&M come up with something very very very interesting I think Netflix and spotify may well find they have wasted their money, unless of course the lost KUWTK audience find a new home. (as I said earlier though, brain and free thought would be involved [grin)

Stickybbqwings · 30/12/2020 17:42

God it was such a cringe fest. Since leaving the royal family they’ve become real try hards to make sure the spotlight stays on them.

I actually feel pretty strongly about this since my mum was a minor broadsheet lifestyle journalist.

My entire childhood was in her column, and I did get recognised in public. And that was pre-internet, and she was far from famous!

So fuck their claims for privacy. They're putting him out there to millions. Grim behaviour.

TidyDancer · 30/12/2020 17:46

I listened to a few minutes of it. It was all I could manage. It was sickly and irrelevant. Besides being a money spinner for the pair of them I can see no purpose to it. Privacy my arse.

They are going to need to spend money on experienced producers and showrunners/writers to deliver any kind of quality content.

zzizz · 30/12/2020 17:55

It is weird fucking behaviour for people who claim not to want media attention.

EscapeTheCastle · 30/12/2020 17:56

Sad, sad, sad. Sitting on their cream sofa with the cushions just so. Telling us super intriguing things about mental health and the environment. I must tune in and listen to their musings.

CallmeAngelGabriel · 30/12/2020 17:57

I will not click on it on principle (and I'm actually a bit of a royalist).

Why on earth would they think that anyone is interested in their son speaking, when they've gone out of their way to bar us all from seeing anything of him for the last 18 months?

RickiTarr · 30/12/2020 18:01

Why on earth would they think that anyone is interested in their son speaking,

To be fair, there is always a large supply of sad ducks ready to lose their shit over any snippet of a royal or famous child. So they’re not wrong, just exploitative and cynical.

Everyone involved (including “fans”) really needs to reflect on what hysterical over interest does to a child.

theThreeofWeevils · 30/12/2020 18:01

Attention-seeking, meaningless babble. But how is the kid's speech?
JayAlfredPrufrock · 30/12/2020 18:05

I’d rather watch paint dry.

They are embarrassing themselves
