To have found Harry&Meghans NY podcast quite uplifting

(And it was v cute to hear Archie speaking also)

Just that really. Yes there was some cheesy bits with some speaker talk of “nourishment” (cringe) by reading children’s books, but most of it was good and positive. Nice mix of contributors. Well done Harry & Meghan.

Wow. What vitriol!! I can understand people not taking to them for whatever reason, but the bitterness is astounding.

CallmeAngelGabriel · 30/12/2020 18:14

They flicked two fingers up to the country this time last year, in what came across as massive bitterness on their part. Why should we not feel the same back towards them?

LucilleBluth · 30/12/2020 18:15

They are inspirational...to idiots.

Hypocritical knobs, honestly they’re like a car crash. I can’t not look because it’s that bad.

I have a genuinely interesting job although I’m poorly paid. Give me a podcast 😀.

Bitterness has quite a specific meaning. So you think those of us who are unimpressed are all impecunious ex-royals.
Valkadin · 30/12/2020 18:17

Yep hating media attention and then courting media attention, hypocrisy springs to mind.

scentedgeranium · 30/12/2020 18:17

I listened. It was awful. They spoke to a 'diverse' set of people? Ummmm. They were all academics or celebs. How can their experience of the pandemic be representative?
Nah it was naff in the extreme
And as for Harry's 'twenny twenny' pronunciation. At least that gave me a chortle

Ewentheawakesheep · 30/12/2020 18:21

What is their podcast about? Do they interview people?

CallmeAngelGabriel · 30/12/2020 18:28

@Ewentheawakesheep

What is their podcast about? Do they interview people?
Don't know, don't care.

I really wish that there would be a media blank-out on them.

hansgrueber · 30/12/2020 18:33

@Fairyliz

No one would be interested in them if they weren’t part of the royal family, yet they chose to leave. What actually skills/talents do they possess to warrant the vast sums given to them?
All they have is his name, she was a very mediocre actress in a very mediocre programme. If the are genuine about wanting to leave the sphere of influence of the Royal Family then they need to do it and see how interested the companies are in Mr and Mrs Windsor.
BoomBoomsCousin · 30/12/2020 18:36

YABU listening to the podcast. It’s just another aspect of the celebrity culture that makes our society so boring.

Girlyracer · 30/12/2020 18:37

I avoid full stop.

They offer no skills or talent and just hang on the tail coat of Harry's royal family.

Their various deals don't make up for their appalling decisions. The vast majority of Brits can see through them like a newly cleaned window pane.

Oh dear Harry, what have you done.

Butteredtoast55 · 30/12/2020 18:40

Back in 2018 I felt such high hopes for how Megan Markle could help modernise the monarchy and reach a whole demographic of people across the Commonwealth. Now the Sussexes just seem completely out of step with the whole mood of the world. Even the Cambridges are more down to earth.
Their podcast is a huge vanity project. I listened to a bit and it made me cringe.

grassisjeweled · 30/12/2020 18:41

What's all this Archwell rubbish? Archie's full name?

grassisjeweled · 30/12/2020 18:43

They do podcasts in between volunteering in the projects in LA. You know, because they care

Oh wait

QuakerShaker · 30/12/2020 18:43

Bless them, I'm sure they mean well, but they're not very bright and they're not exactly experts on anything.

They'd have done better to stay in the Royal Family, where they'd have had people to steer them and brief them. They'd have had more impact that way.

ginandbearit · 30/12/2020 18:53

Vacuous and pointless couple with minimal talent and diminishing value now getting ready to pimp out their child...Harry could have had a useful and genuinely transformative life in say Africa with his full military and royal connections and could have matured into a real force of good ...now a posturing ninny in Lala Land ..and still on our payroll ..what a waste

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 30/12/2020 18:54

Dropped his second ts quicker than he dropped his responsibilities as the second son.

Not vitriol but boredom.

For all their call me Harry and call me meghan protestations, it was executively produced by the duke and duchess of Sussex.

They can get to France with their key worker thanks and their diverse opinions. Because it wasn’t from normal little Joebloggs. And don’t tell me about sacrifices. Or anyone else. Your struggles are not the same.

The vast majority of us are struggling to survive let alone thrive.

Laiste · 30/12/2020 19:29

Pair of hypocritical, narcissistic, over privileged, avaricious, navel gazing fuckers.

Won't be clinking the link.

chaosisaladder · 30/12/2020 19:33

I listened to it while typing up work notes (my job can be quite intense so I like the distraction of something in the background). I thought it was fine. Easy listening.

Amanduh · 30/12/2020 19:33

Oh god it’s horrific. I’m cringing from two clips.
Why is Harry talking like that?
Also it’s literally just drivel.
Jesus how far he’s fallen.

Is that you Meghan?! Grin
Bookworming · 30/12/2020 19:38

Wouldn't waste my time listening TBH!

WilsonMilson · 30/12/2020 19:41

Bunch of embarrassing word salad. Meaningless drivel delivered with toe curling smarm.

LaMarschallin · 30/12/2020 19:41

I guess we've learned from Hilarious Baldwin that spending a relatively short time in another country can change your use of language and accent quite radically.
Presumably we can soon expect Harry to be saying stuff like "Hmm... What is it the British call 'zucchini' again?".

Crimeismymiddlename · 30/12/2020 19:56

I was embarrassed for them, all those accomplished guests who have more about them in their little fingers than Harry has in his whole body and M and H seemed to think people would want to listen to them. They could have done a really interesting interview with say Elton John and they choose to talk nonsense. Joe Rogan also got a shit tonne of money from Spotify-I might not always agree with him, or his guests but he earned every penny of that deal, they won’t. At the moment I am loving Good For You, Why Won’t You Date Me, My Favourite Murder, Scam Goddess and That’s Messed Up.
