I’m newish to Mumsnet but have heard ‘Penis beaker’ being mentioned and I’m intrigued! I’m assuming it’s an old thread being referenced?
I’ve searched but I can’t find the original thread, just references. Anyone care to share the link if you know it? And any other ‘classic’ thread you know of for that matter!

OP posts:

Another vote for snapped and farted that had me in stitches for weeks I still laugh to myself when I think of it now :-)

VestaTilley · 29/10/2020 23:24

You’re in for a treat, OP.

Penis Beaker and Stunt Pineapples made me heave with laughter.

NoProblem123 · 29/10/2020 23:27

Mexican house thief is a slow burner.

The recent panda horseboat was more of a rollercoaster.

BuffayTheVampireLayer · 29/10/2020 23:49

Genuinely never understood what was so funny about snapped and farted. It was shit.

Lemon drizzle cake was one of my favourites. No idea if it's a classic although.

BuffayTheVampireLayer · 30/10/2020 00:09

Thanks for that reality vs expectation thread. In stitches at some of them 🤣🤣. Nigel from Spinal Tap has pushed me over the edge.

AlCalavicci · 30/10/2020 00:18

Sex in the hedge was without a doubt my favorite , the fact that it went on for so long had me and many others waiting with bated breath to see what would happen next

Japanesejazz · 30/10/2020 00:21

I woke up this morning to find out I’m dead, that was a good one
The people sat outside the posters house in a car for 48 hours and Boople plate!

MadameMeursault · 30/10/2020 00:29

@ILoveYoga

How has no one mentioned the Mexican house thief??
Mexican house thief is brilliant!
MadameMeursault · 30/10/2020 00:32

Please could someone link snapped and farted?

Japanesejazz · 30/10/2020 00:36

The sordid affair- the story goes on
Who else can remember the original now deleted thread?

IhateBoswell · 30/10/2020 00:52

Snapped and farted

windturbines · 30/10/2020 01:22

The one with the man shitting in the office toilet was my absolute favourite- it was what actually got me to make a MN account. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, please leave a link.

fantasmasgoria1 · 30/10/2020 01:55

Love the fat ball one. It always makes me chuckle!

FlyNow · 30/10/2020 02:24

The best one ever is the one about the sinister Easter bonnet. OP made an Easter bonnet for her dc and the results were... not quite as cute as expected.

If I need cheering up. MN classics are fab. Very rare to find a thread like those now. People are too quick to create an argument these days.

Sparklfairy · 30/10/2020 09:17

As someone won't name names in case they get stolen has posted their own, back in March I made it into classics because of an unfortunate meeting between something spicy and... my fanjo Grin

MummBraTheEverLeaking · 30/10/2020 09:31

Came and stayed over lemon drizzle. Also gobsmacked over Gluezilla and laughed a lot over Centre Parcs but not sure if they're in classics.

megletthesecond · 30/10/2020 09:36

The dad kidnapping one was great fun.

ComtesseDeSpair · 30/10/2020 10:36

Doubt it’s in classics but I remember a thread where the OP asked what she could do with the three ripe mangoes she had in her kitchen. The first response was “juggle them”; and for some reason the OP went utterly ape shit mad at this and it all went on for quite some time.

“Snapped and farted” was a) not in the slightest bit funny and b) clearly made up.

JemimaTiggywinkle · 30/10/2020 11:55

Does anyone know how I can get the pictures on the Easter Bonnet thread? Sounds like they’re worth seeing.

IhateBoswell · 30/10/2020 12:01

The picture is on the thread?

@meditrina what a beautiful, heartbreaking thread ♥️

Ninkanink · 30/10/2020 12:11

[quote meditrina]This is the best thread in classics, by a considerable margin. Definitely MN at its finest

Yes.

giletrouge · 30/10/2020 12:13

Fat balls was my intro to Mumsnet. Instant addiction. Halloween Grin
