To feel not witty enough for Mumsnet, but too witty for Netmums

They should make another middle of the ground site for people like me. 😂 Is it just me, or do people on Mumsnet seem more "middle class" than people on Netmums?

OP posts:
Coffeeandteach · 01/09/2020 20:53

Are the middle class more witty? 🤔

SentientAndCognisant · 01/09/2020 20:54

Christ yes, mn is perennially middle class in tone, content, and attitudes
NetMums is more working class,no tutors or shall I rent to get in Tiffin threads

Definitely not Grin

What’s the difference between a Netmums user and a Mumsnet user?

About £30k and a Masters.

Does anyone even use Netmums any more? Last time I checked, threads hadn’t been posted on for months!

Polnm · 01/09/2020 21:00

Is this a plug for the other site?
It won’t go well and you will end up banned

But yes it is a middle ground but a bit too obsessed with the royal family for me .

SentientAndCognisant · 01/09/2020 21:00

I had a foray to it, it was very sparkly and lit up. Kinda boring
Better fights on mn

No, this is a genuine post. I'm on Mumsnet and Netmums and have always noticed this

You’re right they’re markedly different sites. Which is no bad thing
Just gravitate to whichever suits your interests & posting style
In fairness NetMums has done a lot around social isolation and PND campaigns

Netmum founder got an OBE 2013

Pagwatch · 01/09/2020 21:08

stay here and drop the collective wit level. thats what i do.
you cant go to netmums. you'll just up their average

justanotherneighinparadise · 01/09/2020 21:11

Netmums was just a bit ‘your bubz, your way’ for me. Lots of hugs and huns. I much prefer my vipers poisonous.

CatBatCat · 01/09/2020 21:13

mumsnet isn't witty its just a bit cliquey

SentientAndCognisant · 01/09/2020 21:14

HV I know directs the young mums to NetMums .The older mums to mumsnet
She said it is two different demographics

Ha ha, I had my first daughter at 21 and my HV also advised Netmums Grin

I really struggle to use netmums chat.

@SentientAndCognisant I’m a young mum and I definitely fit in more on Mumsnet

Spied · 01/09/2020 21:17

I was set upon by the netmums accusing me of being a troll. They're a pack of hounds.Grin

Pagwatch · 01/09/2020 21:21

I love this thread. i have hardly been on here for months and month, come back for an evening and theres a mumsnet vs netmums thread

booyah

bumblebeebiz · 01/09/2020 21:22

I've become more witty since joining Mumsnet.
It'll pass over to you soon enough. You just need to commit Grin

Polnm · 01/09/2020 21:26

And this thread is already being discussed on another site ?

Along with endless drivel about Meghan Markle
You don’t know the bloody woman just let her be! Your obsession is boring and driving people away.

TheQueef · 01/09/2020 21:29

They keep saying Mnet is dumbing down.
I'm just biding my time, waiting for my moment.

If this is what passes for wit around here then I'll go to Netmums! Leave your classism at the door please
Tinyleaf · 01/09/2020 21:40

What's the other site I keep seeing referenced? Netmums doesn't do it for me but I see random references to the 'other place' which doesn't seem to be Netmums
