To feel not witty enough for Mumsnet, but too witty for Netmums

They should make another middle of the ground site for people like me. 😂 Is it just me, or do people on Mumsnet seem more "middle class" than people on Netmums?

There has always been 2 to 3 x guests compared with members.

I believe there is a facility for ignoring posts by certain posters .

I do not like everything on Mumsnet.
Some people have been banned from Mumsnet. Remember LangCleg .
If you don't like it , fine . You have a choice if you are not banned.

And that is the crux of it, isn't it? Many were rightly outraged with the banning of LangCleg. It's accepted that the modding is harsher in FWR over the rest of the site. But the banning of Lang and the mod responses was a push too far for many. Some left, and those who stayed began to take more note of the modding here.

They have gradually witnessed an increase in heavy handed and often questionable modding decisions across the rest of the site.

They are dissatisfied with MN as a result.

But for many, that is nothing against the posters here. They still use both as they do like the content here, which is generated by their fellow MN users, not HQ themselves.

It is possible to be displeased with how things are run here while also enjoying the content, as they are two separate entities.

However it does feel somewhat refreshing, being able to express an honest opinion without needing to alter the language and water it down, purely to avoid a deletion/banning and/or a pile on from certain sections of the site. And that's why others like to use the other place too. Plus personally, I do prefer having the additional features.

Yes, some may disparage some of the typical responses here, but that's not to say that everyone there does. That's just tarring everyone with the same brush, which is ludicrous.

There seems to be certain people who have very active moderating and others who vile things are said about but not acted on. Almost like HQ are running scared of some. Its the inconsistency that sticks in my craw
