Generally speaking I hate conspiracy theories, but is there anything out there that’s passed off as a conspiracy theory that you think holds some weight? I personally have some questions about the assassination of JFK.

OP posts:
cardibach · 27/08/2020 21:58

None really. They rely in large numbers of people all keeping a secret. I don’t think that’s credible.

DisgruntledPelican · 27/08/2020 21:59

Princess Diana’s death.

Sexnotgender · 27/08/2020 22:00

My mum doesn’t believe the moon landings happened.

allfalldown47 · 27/08/2020 22:00

9/11 possibly? Princess Diana's death.

HighNetGirth · 27/08/2020 22:01

Well, I find it strange that the people who buy into bizarre conspiracy theories often have zero curiosity about weird or sinister things that actually happened: MK Ultra, the Iran coup in 1953, deliberately infecting black men with syphilis then not treating them, to study progression of the disease
(all US examples). Shoot to kill in Northern Ireland, tainted blood here and in France, etc.

ShirleyPhallus · 27/08/2020 22:03

Royal family being lizards

Prince Andrew is one for sure

LittleRed53 · 27/08/2020 22:07

9/11. I don't know what really happened, but the official story just doesn't make sense at all, defies science/maths/logic.

JFK, yup. Magic bullet, ugh yeah!

And as other PPs have said, Diana.

HighNetGirth Yeah, there are plenty of declassified things that are so out there, you'd think they were just conspiracy theories. Part of why I think some that haven't been proven yet are more than just theories- if governments have admitted to things like MK Ultra and project Paperclip already, imagine what they've done that they wouldn't admit to!

Lucindainthesky · 27/08/2020 22:08

9/11 and Diana.

TheGreatWave · 27/08/2020 22:09

Dr David Kelly didn't take his own life. There has been a massive cover up there.

LittleRed53 · 27/08/2020 22:11

Oh and it's pretty obvious Jeffrey Epstein didn't kill himself Hmm

emptyplinth · 27/08/2020 22:11

Like cardibach says... They'd rely on large numbers of highly competent people working in close co-ordination and complete secrecy.
If you know people who can do this, then I'd love to know where you work.

cardibach · 27/08/2020 22:17

That’s different though, @LittleRed53
Something that’s completely hidden and then the papers etc released is different from something that happens in plain sight but people try to say has a different explanation.

LockdownLump · 27/08/2020 22:17

Jeffrey epstien. Princess Diana

LockdownLump · 27/08/2020 22:18

Oh and deffo Dr David kelly

SingleHandSue · 27/08/2020 22:20

I don’t believe the moon landings happened and I believe Hitler escaped to Argentina.

AranciaRosso · 27/08/2020 22:26

@LittleRed53

Oh and it's pretty obvious Jeffrey Epstein didn't kill himself Hmm
Do you mean he was murdered or that he's not dead? Shock
TwelvetyOClock · 27/08/2020 22:27

Why do people not believe the moon landings happened?
I didn't quite believe it when I was little but that was mostly just because I just couldn't get my head around HOW.

Babs709 · 27/08/2020 22:29

im adamant Tom Hanks, James Belushi and Bill Murray are the same people. Is that a conspiracy theory?

monstermunchforlunch · 27/08/2020 22:29

I’ve said it before but I don’t believe Peaches Geldof overdosed. I don’t think she’d do it with her child in the house and the day after(?) her house was burgled and nothing came of it... I think she was investigating, however loosely, the same lines that Jill Dando (another conspiracy) was following and her death was staged.

Babs709 · 27/08/2020 22:30

I don’t believe Kurt Cobain commit suicide

(Sorry, not sure what it’s officially called now)

FudgeBrownie2019 · 27/08/2020 22:31

9/11 is weird because the situation at the Pentagon makes no sense at all. DS1 is very science-y and has read so much on it, so likes to share his knowledge and actually has me questioning how accurate the 'official' story is.

Treesofwood · 27/08/2020 22:31

Chemtrails - no doubt there have been experiments on unsuspecting populations. And weather control/cloud seeding.
The third tower on 9/11 which just fell down all by itself.

Clearly those in power plan in secret against us. Why would anyone think they don't?

Babs709 · 27/08/2020 22:36

The pentagon thing is weeeeird!!!

Not quite a conspiracy theory but I still struggle with Nelson Mandela dying in 2013 and not before.

Justanotherlurker · 27/08/2020 22:37

David Kelly is an obvious one for me.

Epstien didn't kill himself either.

Not entirely no, before Snowden his leaks was well and truly in the Tin foil hat conspiracy theory category, MKUltra was a conspiracy theory until it become declassified etc

FOJN · 27/08/2020 22:37

I never read up on conspiracy theories but there are some stories which I've never believed happened as they were reported because there were inconsistencies which didn't make sense or it just seemed too convenient to be true.
9/11, David Kelly and Jeffery Epstein.
