To clean with boobs out?

NC for this absolutely mortified.

Got up after a night shift yesterday and cracked on with some cleaning which I think is impressive in itself. Didn't see the point in getting dressed only to get all sweaty so kept my PJs on, which for me is PJ bottoms and a strap top.

Anyway, day off today and had a note through the door saying
"Can you please dress more appropriately for activities like cleaning. My husband and I were very uncomfortable with your display yesterday "

Now, admittedly I am very well endowed in the boob area (100% not a stealth boast, they literally get on my tits and I'm hoping to have a reduction once we've finished having kids) and the girls did pop out a few times. It wasnt a very supportive or concealing top as it's been retired from my wardrobe and relegated to the pajama drawer. 😳

I am absolutely mortified and want to find a way to apologise, but the note was anonymous!

DH fell about laughing and said that I have every right to dress how I wish in my own home and if they don't like looking at me they have every right to look away.

Thing is though, I'm now thinking of all the times I've wandered around naked after a shower waiting for cream to soak in or fake tan to dry! I've never thought twice about it!

The shame. The deep deep shame.

Nah fuck em.

You wear what you like in your own home.

OhioOhioOhio · 28/07/2020 15:49

Ech. Your dh sounds lovely. Ignore the note and be so pleased your cleaning is done and dusted.

MamaLion1319 · 28/07/2020 15:50

They shouldn't have been looking into your home then.
They must've watched for a prolonged period of time as well. Weird

MintyCedric · 28/07/2020 15:51

I'd send a note back

Stop looking into my windows you nosey old bat

CarterBeatsTheDevil · 28/07/2020 15:51

I agree with your DH

purpleme12 · 28/07/2020 15:52

I'm sorry but this made me laugh

This person must not have a lot going on in her life!
Just forget about it it's not like you were going around naked anyway!

FudgeBrownie2019 · 28/07/2020 15:53

Ridiculous - whoever wrote that note is clearly looking a little too long and hard through your windows. YANBU at all - ignore it and let whoever it is gripe elsewhere.

Sexnotgender · 28/07/2020 15:54

If they’re so upset they need to stop staring! I’d have to try really hard to even see one of my neighbours in their house.

As long as you weren’t rubbing your boobs on the windows then who cares.

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 28/07/2020 15:54

You have nothing to apologise for. You were in your home dressed comfortably.

Put a note on the door saying "don't like it, don't look in my window"

Absolute dickheads.

Hairthrowaway · 28/07/2020 15:54

Weird note. It seems like the woman just felt threatened that her husband saw you, and wrote the note off her own accord rather than her/her husband being mortified together.

I would go outside, dramatically scrunch the note up and throw it in the bin as you know they’re probably still watching!

torquewench · 28/07/2020 15:55

100% certain the husband wasnt the one uncomfortable with the "display" 😉

My neighbours directly across from me seem to think their vertical blinds render them invisible even when theyre open. As they have mirrored wardrobe doors i'm often treated to a front and rear view of them dressing/undressing. Or i was before I planted a tree in my front garden...

WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat · 28/07/2020 15:55

If you're inside your home you should do as you please (maybe careful if you cleaning the windows) if you were outside cleaning the car they may have a point. Wink

Hairthrowaway · 28/07/2020 15:55

Do you have an idea of who’s been watching you??

CleaningCleavageCringe · 28/07/2020 15:56

Ooops didn't mean to leave the voting on!

Yes I suppose I agree that they didn't need to sit and watch but pretty mortified about flashing them even for a sec.

DH reckons the husband saw me and started to watch and got caught by his wife and so began a rant about how offensive it was Blush

vodkaredbullgirl · 28/07/2020 15:56

ops lol

They shouldnt have been looking.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 28/07/2020 15:57

Nosey fuckers. Imagine how hard they must have been looking to spot a tit popping out of a top for a few seconds through the window.

You carry on as you were and they should be the ones who are embarrassed.

katy1213 · 28/07/2020 15:57

I think you need to up your game and get some tassels!

CleaningCleavageCringe · 28/07/2020 15:57

@Sexnotgender Damn is that not how you clean windows!? I thought it chafed a bit. Wink

Sciurus83 · 28/07/2020 15:58

Wait you were in your house?!! Write one back saying perhaps you and your husband shouldn't be creepy weirdos staring into other people's houses! My god, the entitlement to think you can tell someone how to dress in their own home, neighbour is batshit and this is waaay about her not you

GazingAndGrazing · 28/07/2020 15:58

Well, I thought you meant no top on at all so crack on with your retired top!

I never wear a bra in the house, they shouldn’t be looking!!

BrandyandBabycham · 28/07/2020 15:59

Seriously?! I think they need to get a life!

GCITC · 28/07/2020 15:59

Being naked isn't a crime, voyeurism is.

Crack on with your cleaning, tits in or out!

CleaningCleavageCringe · 28/07/2020 16:00

@Hairthrowaway no idea. We're in a 1st floor flat at the moment, main road with a parade of shops at the front and residential road with houses and a small block of flats at the back. Flats kitchens and front of houses facing our bedroom.

@katy1213 terrible idea. DH would give up his share of the housework immediately!

I agree with your DH. There's no possible way her husband is a bit pervy, you practically put on an x rated display In Your pyjamas 😂

I wear exactly what you do to bed and around the house and one of the girls is always escaping. It is in no way seductive, especially whilst cleaning!

caramelbun · 28/07/2020 16:02

I agree with the others, her DH was probably mesmerised. She caught him looking and lost it.

Tell them to stop spying on you!
