To clean with boobs out?

NC for this absolutely mortified.

Got up after a night shift yesterday and cracked on with some cleaning which I think is impressive in itself. Didn't see the point in getting dressed only to get all sweaty so kept my PJs on, which for me is PJ bottoms and a strap top.

Anyway, day off today and had a note through the door saying
"Can you please dress more appropriately for activities like cleaning. My husband and I were very uncomfortable with your display yesterday "

Now, admittedly I am very well endowed in the boob area (100% not a stealth boast, they literally get on my tits and I'm hoping to have a reduction once we've finished having kids) and the girls did pop out a few times. It wasnt a very supportive or concealing top as it's been retired from my wardrobe and relegated to the pajama drawer. 😳

I am absolutely mortified and want to find a way to apologise, but the note was anonymous!

DH fell about laughing and said that I have every right to dress how I wish in my own home and if they don't like looking at me they have every right to look away.

Thing is though, I'm now thinking of all the times I've wandered around naked after a shower waiting for cream to soak in or fake tan to dry! I've never thought twice about it!

The shame. The deep deep shame.

Yes, this happened.

GreyGardens88 · 28/07/2020 16:34

I've read this story on MN before, same wording in the note and everything

CleaningCleavageCringe · 28/07/2020 16:36

@MaggieAndHopey I apologise if you think it's odd. As stated, I didn't realise anyone could see in, at least not well enough to see me cleaning. Clearly I was wrong, and yes am embarrassed that they saw me scantily clad. As with the nosey neighbours, if this thread is offensive, please feel free to cease and desist reading it!

@Ladybirdsarelovey33 Yes, I think it must be. Their kitchens are opposite our bedroom. It's a new build so the windows are quite small so possibly we can't really see in to heirs but they can see into ours. (Ours is a Victorian conversation with large windows)

Seriously though people are naturists and they never have any clothes on in their houses and that’s absolutely fine.

These people are proper pervs.

I would be very tempted to go on the Facebook page for your area: “Just a warning about some local pervs, they’ve been looking in people’s windows and on occasion leaving notes. Voyeurism is obviously a crime so I have reported but didn’t want others caught unawares by these perverts.”

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 28/07/2020 16:36

Do what you want in your own home, everything else comes into the 'cover up or it's your own fault' category.

Are you living next door to Hyacinth Bouquet? What a pair of uptight twats.

I would be prepared to bet a month's salary he had his eyes on stalks and she had a go at him about it :)

Next time do it totally naked apart from a diamente studded G string.

CleaningCleavageCringe · 28/07/2020 16:37

@anon5000 sadly it did indeed.

Wtf OP.

Of course you can wear (or not wear) whatever you like in your own home. Put the note in the bin and don't let their weird request have any impact on your life.

MellowMelly · 28/07/2020 16:40

This reminds me of the time my ex wrapped a towel round his waist after a shower and came into the bedroom. He went to close the blinds but when he reached up to grab the cord his towel fell away exposing all to the pizza delivery driver who had just pulled up across the drive. If ever a blind cord could of ever been more awkward, that was the moment. He ended up cupping his hands round his parts and hastily sideways stepped till he was out of view.

OP, what happened to you was also accidental. I know you feel mortified right now but they the husband must be watching to see! You should be able to wear what you want in your house whatever you are doing. It’s not like you are standing at the window with your boobs hanging out.

To be fair, I didn't clean the windows (with my boobs or otherwise) but I did clean the windowsills and vacuum the curtains so potentially the note is referring to that rather than me deeper in the house.

(Not a drip feed before the troll hunters mount their steeds, just been trying to remember what I actually did and where)

ExtremelyBoldSquirrels · 28/07/2020 16:44

@MamaLion1319

They shouldn't have been looking into your home then. They must've watched for a prolonged period of time as well. Weird
The woman who wrote it was probably most displeased that this is exactly what her husband was doing.

Uncomfortable is unlikely to be the right adjective for how he was feeling. 😆

BrightYellowDaffodil · 28/07/2020 16:44

My neighbours directly across from me seem to think their vertical blinds render them invisible even when theyre open. As they have mirrored wardrobe doors i'm often treated to a front and rear view of them dressing/undressing.

I've literally just had to mop coffee off my laptop and iPad after reading that Grin

OP, crack on however you please. In fact, I'd suggest burlesque nipple tassels and a sequinned thong in future. Put The Stripper on full blast with the windows open. Wiggle that arse as you lean down to do the skirting boards and give The Girls a good shimmy as your feather duster reaches for the light fittings. Mr and Mrs Uptight can just not stare into your house if they're so horrified (although I suspect this is more Mrs than Mr) at an unfettered nork.

CleaningCleavageCringe · 28/07/2020 16:46

@WorraLiberty and other troll hunters, I appreciate your skepticism, however you are wrong.

Has it really got so bad around here that no one can post a remotely amusing/embarrassing/out of the ordinary story without thinly veiled accusations of being a troll?

It happened, I was embarrassed, I thought I'd make a post on it a cringe shared is a cringe halved and now I'm starting to regret it!

As with PP and my neighbours, please feel free not to read it. There are 100s of other threads if you don't like this one.

@chubbyhotchoc

I would be cleaning fully naked from now on

Yep! Preferably with DH butt nekkid and dancing like nobody's watching - to "It's raining men". 🕺 💃🏽

Cheeky barmpots!!

loutypips · 28/07/2020 16:46

Shame you don't know who it was as you could say piss off stop looking in my windows you perverts!

turnthebiglightoff · 28/07/2020 16:49

Why do people continue to troll hunt despite it being a) against the rules and b) really fucking boring?!

WorraLiberty · 28/07/2020 16:49

Saying something is odd, which even you've admitted this scenario is, is not troll hunting.

Agreeing that this thread is familiar, isn't troll hunting either OP.
