To clean with boobs out?

NC for this absolutely mortified.

Got up after a night shift yesterday and cracked on with some cleaning which I think is impressive in itself. Didn't see the point in getting dressed only to get all sweaty so kept my PJs on, which for me is PJ bottoms and a strap top.

Anyway, day off today and had a note through the door saying
"Can you please dress more appropriately for activities like cleaning. My husband and I were very uncomfortable with your display yesterday "

Now, admittedly I am very well endowed in the boob area (100% not a stealth boast, they literally get on my tits and I'm hoping to have a reduction once we've finished having kids) and the girls did pop out a few times. It wasnt a very supportive or concealing top as it's been retired from my wardrobe and relegated to the pajama drawer. 😳

I am absolutely mortified and want to find a way to apologise, but the note was anonymous!

DH fell about laughing and said that I have every right to dress how I wish in my own home and if they don't like looking at me they have every right to look away.

Thing is though, I'm now thinking of all the times I've wandered around naked after a shower waiting for cream to soak in or fake tan to dry! I've never thought twice about it!

The shame. The deep deep shame.

Lol. She's only upset because her husband was glued to the window ogling.

bumbleb33s · 28/07/2020 16:20

OP, love this post and your hubby sounds fab.

I am the same, often prance around naked when I've tanned or body lotioned, if I got a note through I'd be well pissed off, cheeky feckers, you can do what you like in your own house and I'd do it even more now if I were you to teach them that their request is totally unacceptable and you don't give a sh!t.

CleaningCleavageCringe · 28/07/2020 16:21

@Bishybarnybee well I can't vouch for anyone else but yeah, I don't wear a bra in the house and yes a lot of my loungewear is fairly revealing as that's what I find comfortable.

I do agree about not wanting to see some bloke with his knob out, however I also agree that I don't need to be looking I to his house in the first place so unless he is windowmilling he can me naked if he wants.

I would definitely not have been letting my wabs flap about if I knew anyone could see though.

They just outed themselves as peeping toms. Except they didn’t, as they didn’t sign the note. Cowards!

They should be the ones who are ashamed.

MrsSpenserGregson · 28/07/2020 16:22

It's not your fault you have large norks. It is totally your neighbour's fault that he's a disgusting voyeur and he chose not to look elsewhere or close his curtains. Why the f* was he looking into your house anyway, the nosey pervert.

Get your DH to clean the windows in the buff next time Wink

IwanttogotoMataland · 28/07/2020 16:22

I'm perimenopausal and I sometimes take my top off entirely when doing housework as my underboobs get really hot and sweaty. I don't go too close to the windows or answer the door but what I do in my home is my business.

It's not like you were standing in front of the window flashing on purpose.

Yankathebear · 28/07/2020 16:23

I would definitely be wearing less to clean. Give them something to look at.

I’m quite often not fully dressed around the house but luckily we don’t have neighbours.

@cdtaylornats ShockShockShock
What did garden man say!?

OP posts:
ThatsNotMyPanda · 28/07/2020 16:24

You should send a note back saying 'If it bothers you so much put your binoculars away'.

CleaningCleavageCringe · 28/07/2020 16:25

@IwanttogotoMataland not peri menopausal altough it sounds SUCH FUN but my sympathies. The Underboob struggle is real. Norkagra Falls.

Absolutely love this thread!

I totally agree with all the PPs saying you should just clean entirely naked from now on! Even better that your DH is prepared to join in!!

DP and I used to do yoga, he always does it in his pants as he gets hot. His bits have popped out on a few occasions, funniest thing ever when doing downward dog!!

Peeping Toms deserve to get an eye-full!

WorraLiberty · 28/07/2020 16:27

I'm just passing the time here but the oddest part is this....

I am absolutely mortified and want to find a way to apologise, but the note was anonymous!

You want to apologise to the person who was apparently watching you in the privacy of your own home?

ladybirdsarelovely33 · 28/07/2020 16:28

OP, if you are on a first floor flat, are they in flats directly opposite you?

MaggieAndHopey · 28/07/2020 16:29
@missmouse101 nope, it's not obvious that anyone can see in, we can't see into any of the surrounding properties aside from a bit of kitchen or front room or whatnot... hence my mortification!!!
Why would you be mortified? This whole thread is odd.

You're now saying that no-one should be able to see properly into your house. Given that, I don't understand why your first reaction, upon reading this note, wasn't either fury or to be massively creeped out. It doesn't seem like a sort of 'tee hee, whoopsie daisy' sort of situation - you're describing a scenario where someone has been staring into your house, at you, all day.

I notice you've name changed, too?

Mrsmadevans · 28/07/2020 16:29

Bgr em l walk round nakky as a jaybird all the time & could not give a shit. They should not be watching!

BacklashStarts · 28/07/2020 16:29

They shouldn’t be looking. Seriously, you don’t have to wear clothes in your own house even. Nosey bastards can fuck off.

WellIWasInTheNeighbourhoo · 28/07/2020 16:30

Really creepy, not only is this person a voyeur, he or they want you to know they are watching you. Tape a note up in the window saying that you'll call the police and report them under the under the Voyeurism Act if you catch them!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 28/07/2020 16:30

Carry on. Weird peeping tom. You were in your home.

I’m always wandering round with not much on.

MaggieAndHopey · 28/07/2020 16:30

Is there some known MN troll with a 70s porn fetish?

labyrinthloafer · 28/07/2020 16:30

100% certain the husband wasnt the one uncomfortable with the "display"

I thought exactly this!

fascinated · 28/07/2020 16:30

@MintyCedric

I'd send a note back

Stop looking into my windows you nosey old bat

^; this
CleaningCleavageCringe · 28/07/2020 16:30

@WorraLiberty I did when I wrote the post as I had all the cringe and was wrapped in my own little bubble of cringe on the train to Cringeville with only cringe as my view. However, now most people have agreed with DH I can see that their (her?) behaviour is a bit weird at best.

Off to Google French Maid outfit...

Wellyouknowbest · 28/07/2020 16:31

This is hilarious, funny I thought of window cleaning too. 😂😂. Wax on wax off might have been entertaining for the nosy neighbours. Also think the husband got caught watching you

Smallsteps88 · 28/07/2020 16:31

I think it’s really creepy of them to have put that note through. They’ve basically told you that instead of spotting you and thinking “ooh, I don’t want to see her boobs- I best go to another room.” They decided to stay where they were and continue to look at you despite claiming to be uncomfortable with what they were seeing. What creeps!

BumbleBeeeeeee · 28/07/2020 16:33

Fuck em, do what you want in your own home. The bloody cheek of them putting a note through! I'd be putting a sign in the window saying words to that effect too.
