Hands down for me are the ”if this was a man asking/doing/saying/bla bla”.....
all hell would apperently break loose.

What are yours?

(Oh and let’s vote on mine
yabu- you don’t mind these kind of posts
yanbu- you dislike these kind of post)

OP posts:
PurpleDaisies · 04/07/2020 22:13

I dislike posters who set their voting options opposite to what you’d intuitively expect.

CluelessBaker · 04/07/2020 22:13

A topical concern, but the posters who read an OP about someone being rude or turning up late to lunch or cancelling an event at the last minute and said ‘but SURELY you aren’t meeting at the moment anyway because of SOCIAL DISTANCING’ as if they’re a hall monitor reporting you to matron for being out of bed at night.

NotTerfNorCis · 04/07/2020 22:26

Sealioning. Posters who string you along with seemingly innocent questions that get more and more stupid.

EmpressLangClegSpartacus · 04/07/2020 22:31

Posters who don’t RTFT.
Posters who call women girls.
Posters who say gender when they mean sex.

magimedi · 04/07/2020 22:33

No use of paragraphs - a long stream of text & I click away. So hard to read.

TumbledGlass · 04/07/2020 22:40

Anyone who use loose instead of lose

LesNanas · 04/07/2020 22:43

The kind who see any evidence of thought about any issue (from gender-neutral clothing for babies to current affairs to the possibility of the existence of the supernatural) as implicitly attacking their own position, that they’ve never actually had to think about, because ‘everyone thinks X’, don’t they? And anyone who has thought and come to a different conclusion is an ‘overthinker’ and ‘hater’.

BrandyandBabycham · 04/07/2020 22:44

Folks being way too quick to say “ LTB” or use the term gaslighting. Abuse comes up way too often too.

KilljoysDutch · 04/07/2020 22:45

Posters who start passive aggressive posts about other posters.
Posters who start posts designed just to bitch about other posters.

phoenixearthworm · 04/07/2020 22:45

OPs who ask if AIBU and everybody says yes then the OP flounces or posts increasingly angry/ridiculous/detailed drip feeds about why TANBU.

LadyCatStark · 04/07/2020 22:48

People who begin their response with ‘Oh dear OP.’ So patronising!

People who write out a response for the OP to say to another person in its entirety rather than just suggesting what they should do. Surely people are capable of using their own words!

Sparklesocks · 04/07/2020 22:51

Posters who never seem to have interacted with other human beings before and have no sense of a proportional response so just encourage OP to escalate anything and sabotage any relationship with their loved ones. Eg:

OP: ‘My friend has been a bit distant lately. I’m worried something is going on because she hasn’t responded to my last few messages apart from a few words and doesn’t seem like herself. I hope she’s alright and don’t know the best way to approach it.’

Poster: OK here’s what you do. Text her and tell her unless she gets her arse in gear you’ll be ditching her as a friend. You don’t have time for her selfishness. She needs to sort herself out, and you need to practice tough love!

Eaumyword · 04/07/2020 22:51

The ask my age threads in Style and Beauty! I find them interesting to see how real women look at different ages, but they rarely update with their real age!
I also worry for them as to what they want to achieve from the thread. They don't tend to go well...

ilovesooty · 04/07/2020 22:54

Posters who say they're going to have the thread taken down when they get responses disagreeing with them.

Posters who claim not to be racist /benefit bashing when they clearly are.

comedycentral · 04/07/2020 22:55

The ones that say 'I asked my DH and he thinks...'
Don't really care about your random DH's opinion 🤫

Stella8686 · 04/07/2020 22:59

OP who posts and never replies.

LouiseTrees · 04/07/2020 23:03

@PurpleDaisies

I dislike posters who set their voting options opposite to what you’d intuitively expect.
I wonder if the irony will be lost
romeolovedjulliet · 04/07/2020 23:05

the grammer police can jog along too,
could i be pregnant ? piss on the stick ffs
postersthat flounce off or don't bother to answer questions, the answers of which just might help answer the question posted.

leftovercoffeecake · 04/07/2020 23:05

OPs who drip feed when the thread isn’t going the way they want.

Posters who write a text response the OP should send, when the OP hasn’t asked for one. They’re usually very cringey.

On any kind of wedding thread where posters desperately try and race to the bottom over who had the most ‘minimal’ wedding.

And posters who write reverse threads! Those give me the rage.

TrickorTreacle · 04/07/2020 23:05

@Stella8686

OP who posts and never replies.
I was going to say that! It's called a "post and run".

Also, people who write cross post or x-post. I don't have a clue what that means! I presume it's referring to another location / post but they never say where.

Sparklingbrook · 04/07/2020 23:06

‘is there a line?’ Generally no. And if you can’t see it with your own eyeballs then posting it on here isn’t going to make it any clearer. 🤷‍♀️

BeautifulCrazy · 04/07/2020 23:07

The ones who have their kids doing their own washing/cooking/cleaning by age 4 and then tell anyone who supports their child through University that they’re spoiling their children and they’ll never stand on their own two feet. 🙄

LegitSnack · 04/07/2020 23:07

"And what happened when you..."

People who abuse AIBU for traffic, but also posters who say "what's your AIBU?"

DuineArBith · 04/07/2020 23:07

People who post something pointless accompanied by "I didn't want to read and run". Seriously, nobody either knows or cares if you read and run.

BeautifulCrazy · 04/07/2020 23:08

On any kind of wedding thread where posters desperately try and race to the bottom over who had the most ‘minimal’ wedding.

Yes. And race to the bottom posters in general.
