So only ever having bought the saver one.... is there any difference between this and the regular quarter pounder which is 3 times the price. Is it just bigger... ?

I am craving a McDonalds so much right now, when I was pregnant with DS we used to go to the drive through at least once a week and I used to take my own sliced gherkin with me in a tub to put in a quarter pounder.

Got to finish up with one of their doughnuts with the chocolate goo in the middle.

Food snobbery is terrible on here, it’s only FOOD. It’s the first place your kids will go when they have a bit of money in their pocket after a childhood diet of kale and lentils 😂 I’ve seen it with my kids friends.

The Quarter pounder tastes better / different.

Hardly anything they sell has mayo in it.

That gherkin is gone I love the quarter pounder. But don’t have very often.

@BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz That's a comparison between McDonald's advertising and a real-life quarter pounder, not between a cheeseburger and a quarter pounder.

I reckon the main difference between cheeseburger and QP w C is the burger to cheese to bread ratio.

CB = thin patty, one slice of cheese, too much bread
QPC = thicker patty, two cheese, about right on bread

however......my quadruple cheeseburger is perfect. 4 patties, 4 cheese, hardly any bread. Perfect for low carbers, in fact its probably considered diet food!

I don’t mind Mcdonald’s burgers etc but prefer Burger King’s on the whole. Unfortunately our nearest one is a good half hour drive. When I was student I lived opposite a Burger King. Loved mushroom double Swiss or bacon double cheeseburgers. Maccie D’s breakfast is another matter. Love their bagels & muffins. Sausage, egg & cheese yum. With a big hot chocolate. Find the hash browns too greasy though.

@Zippea ask for Quarter Cheese with extra lettuce and mayo. It’s only missing a big tomato from the deluxe. I also prefer it with regular onions rather than the big rings.

I have gone off BK recently but when I was PG with DS2 (now 14) I would crave them but hated their chips so I would drive miles and miles to Derby and go to the Wyvern Retail park purely because Mc's and BK were so close together! I'd buy my burger from BK then drive to Maccies for the fries. I thought it was just me that did that :o

I love the taste of the breakfast bagels but the reason I no longer eat them is the cheese hernia. So messy!

I really wish they would bring back the quarter cheese deluxe. It really was food of the gods. 😋

I love the cheeseburger. It's the only meat I actually eat. If it wasn't for cheeseburgers at McD's I would be vegetarian.

I don't eat meat anywhere else at all including home, I've tried al the veggie stuff but they are al spicy and don't like that either!

Quarter pounders, Big Mac's & double cheeseburger's are all too meaty.

I end up with a happy meal plus an extra chips as they don't do cheeseburger meals for adults!

@Coldemort (whispers) my McDonald's also does boxes of 12 nuggets.

I discovered this after being absolutely pissed as a fart one night and arguing with the poor lady who worked there that I wanted 10 nuggets. She kindly advised me I could only get 9 or 12.

I like how McDonald's has reverted back to its late 80s heyday where you could only get a few things. I've been saying this is where their business model has been going wrong of late. It works for Five Guys, it can work for Maccies again!
