So only ever having bought the saver one.... is there any difference between this and the regular quarter pounder which is 3 times the price. Is it just bigger... ?

They are both nice enough in their way but if you want a proper burger, get a Burger King Whopper. More expensive but worth every penny. Or if you want to go posh and home cooked, the Waitrose Aberdeen Angus quarter pounders in their “buttery burger buns’ are absolutely amazing. I always used to make my own burgers at home but the Waitrose ones are so good I don’t bother anymore. The lamb burgers are good too.

I love burgers. They are my second favourite food after sandwiches.

Chicken sandwich all the way. But they made it super cheap a few years back, still better than an actual burger though. Or the sweet chilli crispy chicken wrap is passable too.

If you have the option, Burger King whopper with cheese wins every time!

Double cheeseburger is nicer than the quarter pounder and chicken selects are much nicer than the nuggets .

In Germany they do a triple cheeseburger for something ridiculously cheap.

But no chicken selects also no proper breakfast menu.

AIBU to hate the word "patty"? ugh!

I used to like a big Mac best, reminds me of lunch with an old boyfriend, a big mac, Apple pie and vanilla milkshake. God know how I kept slim on that.

So agree with previous poster about Waitrose burgers, the only one I had that was better was their buffalo burger a few years back.

Op you can get a 9 nugget meal! But 20 nuggets is the only sensible choice...also a quarter pounder is superior to the saver cheeseburger

I like their food from time to time and I enjoy the burgers. I had a takeaway recently from there but see the usual menu is reduced at the moment.

The basic cheeseburger is very sweet compared to the quarter pounder with cheese. It’s also softer and weirdly smooth.

The quarter pounder is a proper burger. Better quality meat and nicer bun. It hasn’t got the same sweetness to it.

My usual meal from McDs is QP with C, small cheeseburger and Diet Coke. (Greedy)
So I am naturally an expert on these matters! 😂😂😂

the QPC is great, particularly with a side order of Big Mac sauce.

I love a quarter pounder with cheese, it has gherkins.

The 'Saver Menu' (lol) double cheeseburger is the only thing I will buy from McD's. It is great, the best thing they do. My two DSs have been well educated as such.

My fave is the double cheeseburger. It tastes juicier.

1/4 pounder has 2 slices of cheese (cheeseburger just has the one). I used to love the 1/4 pounder deluxe when they had them.

I would love to have 9 nugget meal as 6 is not quite enough

The double cheeseburger is excellent for the money but the best burger is from the kebab shop with garlic sauce and a side of cheesy chips at circa 2 am.

DD still reminds me of the time we opened her 6 nugget box to find 7 in there, and I ate the extra one - she was devastated.

The chicken selects are nice, and are on the reduced menu - as are 9 nuggets, but don't tell DD!

I now want a double cheeseburger ....

They are doing chicken selects-I had them yesterday!

It's also the same party in the savers as in the Big Macs. Quarter pounders are way better, even better with Big Mac sauce instead of tomato and mustard

Cheeseburger is vastly superior to the quarter pounder in my opinion. And I could easily eat 20 chicken nuggets
