So only ever having bought the saver one.... is there any difference between this and the regular quarter pounder which is 3 times the price. Is it just bigger... ?
On on the subject who's on for a petition for a reasonable chicken nuggets choice Grin
And thanks but I dont need a lecture why I shouldn't be eating macdonalds (this is mumsnet after all!)

I love the Double cheese burger.
It annoys me they won't let me buy it as a set meal.
Quarter pounders with cheese taste so dry and not the same.

Why?

@PyongyangKipperbang

All burgers are made to order. They shouldn't be sitting for any length of time.

No they are not!! They are put together to order but I have had soooo many cold burgers that I have had to ask to be replaced because they have been cooked and then left in the warming tray things for too long. Once I had to take it back three times.

The franchisee who owns all three of our local ones is nuts about waste and refuses to follow the rules on how long stuff can be kept, if I go then I go to the ones in the next town over.

Can't you report them to head office or something?

@AnotherEmma GrinGrinGrin I feel ya!

I just want a chicken selection box

Selects and nuggets in one share box (which I wouldn't share ofc)

blubberyboo · 02/07/2020 20:06

20 nugget sharebox

But you can get a double cheeseburger with fries and a drink, which amounts to the same thing.

You only save about 30 p by getting a meal deal anyway.

Holothane · 02/07/2020 21:32

I also love the nuggets and chocolate milkshake.

squeekums · 03/07/2020 06:53

* I didnt know you could buy it or I would have stocked up*

In Aus you can usually buy it in bottles in the McCafes or bigger restaurants.

I'm not sure if it same in the UK but aldi here does a burger sauce in mayo area, its pretty close. If you get heinz there, they have another similar one too

BakewellGin1 · 03/07/2020 07:27

Ohhhh just spotted this...

My favourite is a Big Mac however between your options I would go for a cheeseburger (but the double ones are best)

Nuggets I always wish they had a 12 option but myself and DS usually get 20 and he has 6

All of their food is crap.

If you are comparing it to organic, natural, fresh home cooking It’s obviously going to come up short.
However, compared to the vast majority of pre-prepared food / processed food mcD’s are pretty good.
They have to be more careful with their product ingredients than many other places because —people like you— some people automatically think ‘McDs= crap’ Whilst happily munching away on all manner of processed shit from the supermarket.

@Grumpbum123. I beg to differ. I’m sure toffee sundaes were lovely but the worst thing they ever did was get rid of the Dairy Milk McFlurries.

mbosnz · 03/07/2020 12:15

I miss the lime milkshake in NZ.

Dairy milk bits went because the waste on them was ridiculous - they used to melt into a giant glob in the dispenser.

If you compare to most things it's crap. Organic or fresh isn't necessary, just cooking from scratch is best and cheaper than fast/processed food. It's a pity your bar is so low you find McDonald's enjoyable 😂. No matter what the ingredients are. Amd why do you assume people that dislike it eat other "processed shit"? And care to give any examples?
