I'm at the beach on my own and self conscious ..aibu?

So it's a gorgeous hot day,I've came to the beach on my own and I'm ridiculously self conscious
Aibu and a bit silly ?
I a mid 30s woman and I'm worried

Looks beautiful. Enjoy having no one to answer to. I used to feel like this doing stuff on my own but once you've done it a few times it's heaven.

By the look of that long stretch of empty sand, you are literally on your own. What are you worried about?

Self-conscious about what? It's no different to being at the park on your own really - I can't imagine anyone will give it a second thought

I love doing things on my own but have never had chance to go to the beach on my own.

It sounds lovely - time to relax, read and , most of all, people watch (although it does look pretty deserted there a the moment).

There's a few people further along but I have loads of space to myself.
I'm being silly aren't I ..I'm going to turn my music up and ignore the world

It looks beautiful OP. I would do anything sell my child on Ebay to be there now, alone with a book and flask of coffee.

I used to live near the beach, though nowhere near as nice as that one! In summer I used to go most days but certainly couldn’t expect company every time. You won’t be alone in being alone!

I go to the beach every day, I wouldn't even notice if anyone was by themselves and if I did I wouldn't think anything of it.

If I saw anyone at the beach on their own my main feeling would be envy!

I wish I was on the beach on my own. When I do get a chance to visit my time is usually spent changing nappies, feeding, chasing after children, making sure all the things we need for the children are not blowing away etc. Relish the peace and enjoy your day.

What are you worried about?

I'm worried people might think I'm a looser being on my own.
My friends are all at work today so didn't want to stay in the house.
Really wanted to come to the beach so thought stuff it.
Now I'm here my eyes are all over checking nobody is watching me
