Enjoy it! I used to love going places alone. I solo travelled alot before I has DD and found it so invigorating! It's endearing being happy with your own company and good for the soul! I doubt anyone has even noticed or is thinking much of you being alone, everyone will be busy enjoying their own day.

HowFastIsTooFast · 24/06/2020 20:14

Hope you had a lovely day OP! This was my evening, and how I intend to spend tomorrow! Grabbing moments of peace wherever we can 😉

Not Bournemouth I presume!

chubacca · 25/06/2020 18:05

A looser? Having some time alone on a beach sounds like winning to me!

HarrietOh · 25/06/2020 18:18

I live near the beach, alone, I’m forever walking/sitting at the beach on my own! Way better than being sat indoors alone.

seenbeensbean · 25/06/2020 18:25

@happyclappyc

I'm worried people might think I'm a looser being on my own. My friends are all at work today so didn't want to stay in the house. Really wanted to come to the beach so thought stuff it. Now I'm here my eyes are all over checking nobody is watching me Blush
All the losers were at Bournemouth.
Aglet · 25/06/2020 18:44

Just thank your lucky stars you're not in Bournemouth or Exmouth.

babyb1985 · 25/06/2020 19:07

As a shift worker the majority of my days off are in the week whilst my husband and friends are at work (won’t be come August when baby arrives) and I’ll miss all my shopping, cinema and walks by myself 😩

Jeeperscreepers69 · 25/06/2020 19:16

Very sillly im afraid. Whats there to "worry" about like?

richard1471 · 25/06/2020 19:20

Where I live there are often people in the local common on their own. Nothing wrong about it. All you need is suncream, a hat and a good book.

cyclingmad · 25/06/2020 19:25

Which beach is that?

seenbeensbean · 25/06/2020 19:29

My money is on one of our local ones in Northumberland which are deliciously empty.

bumblenbean · 25/06/2020 20:16

Where on Earth are these deserted beaches?! I’m so keen to enjoy the sea but there’s no way in hell I'm going to one of the popular beaches currently more packed than a Tokyo commuter train.

Wish I knew of a beach like this in the south!

Am very envious OP- hope you enjoyed!

Violinist64 · 25/06/2020 20:39

I think many of us were very, very envious of you. An almost empty beach with a book, a flask of coffee and one's own company in this weather (I'm twenty miles inland from the east coast where there is almost always a sea breeze) - what's not to like?

Lovely13 · 25/06/2020 20:47

You are lucky to find a beach so empty! South coast etc over run today. I used to go to beach on my own all the time when I lived by coast. I loved it and miss it so much. Make the most and enjoy your lovely spot to live in.

Alipaules33 · 25/06/2020 21:21

Goodness that looks beautiful!! Where are you? I’d love to go to the beach, or anywhere other than a grocery store 😂 on my own!! Hope you had a fab day OP!

Mildred007 · 26/06/2020 00:11

I dream of this! Hope you enjoyed yourself x

notmrscookie · 26/06/2020 04:59

I love the beach .I go by myself and sit towards the sea if i want to swim..If lucky i get a nice person or group who will look out for my limited bits if i swim..

Enjoy your time .. if people ask just stay shift pattern or something

alwayscrashinginthesamecar1 · 26/06/2020 05:49

Eh? I live beside a large and deserted beach. I go there on my own all the time! In fact, I much prefer going on my own, when I go with my husband or friends its not half as relaxing!

Casino218 · 26/06/2020 06:13

It's strange what people worry about! I'm someone who will sit in a pub on her own and not self conscious though so I really don't get why you should feel that way on an empty beach!
