MIL has surpassed herself in the passive aggressive stakes. 10th wedding anniversary card arrives, she's consistently spelled my name incorrectly throughout. And I mean it's a real stretch to misspell my name. I never rise to her as it would upset DH but I know she won't be able to resist and will say something like 'oh I'm paranoid I made a spelling mistake on your card'. WIBU to respond 'oh no worries, probably a senior moment!'?

Or

'oh did you? I didn't notice'

Depends on whether being old or unnoticed would be more annoying to her.

I think that would be singularly restrained.

Say nothing. It will really annoys her that you either haven't noticed or couldn't care less.

I'd just say, "Oh I assumed you were dyslexic." She'll write it the correct way next time.

Send her birthday card wrongly spelt in the most extreme way you can

I genuinely think you not noticing so be more annoying to her than you saying it's down to age. But you could combine the two.
