Not to let 2 year old ds watch Peppa pig?

I have Netflix and there’s big images of Peppa pig and he keeps asking to watch it but I’ve only heard bad things about it. Is it really that bad ? I’m torn because I personally think I’d hate sitting through it and have heard it’s pretty bad animation and Peppa shows unpleasant behavior with a positive resolution, we currently watch things like puffin rock etc...

Peppa Pig is absolutely fine. I've watched a lot of it with my toddler DS and it's actually ok.

God it's awful - she's shooting up, carries a flick knife, nd the mum and dad are brother and sister

I love puffin rock. Props pig is horrible. Brattiest fictional child on tv. Story boys and Shaun the sheep/Timmy time on Netflix also the bomb.

I would rather have every episode of peppa pig wired into my eyeballs then sit through 5 minutes of Bing

I never liked it and didn't let either DD watch it. DH recently let our youngest despite me telling him I'd really rather she didn't. One night a teatime she said something quite rude to DH, when he told her off she said "that's what peppa says".

I was smug AF and she now doesn't get it

When my niece started to talk I thought there's a funny accent she's got (we are Welsh) then the penny dropped, she sounded like Peppa flaming Pig.

Ds didn’t enjoy story bots but might a little young. @CovidicusRex I’ve never watched Shaun the sheep do you think. 2 is a bit. Young?

Oh it's fine. DD loved it and the only thing she actually imitated from it is Daddy Pig saying "you're most welcome" after someone says thank you. Which I was fine with! She loved it for about a year and then moved on to My Little Pony (which is awesome).

Try Puffin Rock though - it's cute and a more of a good influence. On Netflix.

I cannot imagine being so uptight that you decline to watch peppa on the basis she is not well behaved.

It’s ace - especially for younger toddlers as everything is about quite mundane things that toddlers can relate to in the world around them. Lots of jokes for parents. And daddy pig is a legend.

@Jazzled I was worried about opening the can of worms as ds would be pretty upset if I let him watch it then took it away obvs get over it but easier to to never watch it.

My toddler watches it and hasn’t starting acting out any scenes or snorting like a pig or anything

If it gives you some peace and quiet to sit on your phone and mumsnet then what’s the harm

@TildaTurnip my favourite is the soft play party one when none of the parents want to stay.
