My husband calls work colleagues “mate” and referred to me as “the Mrs”

I would hate it though I'm not sure why. Am ex called me it a few times and he was a total mysogynist so guess I associate it with that kind of sexist laddish attitude.
Thankfully my now husband uses my name.

I refer to my boyfriend as “the chef” when at work, my son is also “the baby”. I also refer to everyone I work with as mate/boss/bro.

I used to work with a man who referred to his wife as The War Office.
