My husband calls work colleagues “mate” and referred to me as “the Mrs”

I used to share an office with a man who referred to his wife as mother hen. 'Oh I wonder what mother hen has given me for lunch today?'.

I have no idea what her name actually was, I just know that I felt very sorry for her.

My DH calls me "The Mrs"
I don't mind.
If he didn't, he'd call me Carol.
My name isn't Carol.

That was his first wife.

On honeymoon with my XH, a bloke we met joked to XH that he should refer to me as “my first wife” to keep me on my toes. XH sheepishly pointed out I wasn’t his first wife, he’d been married before

Happily single now but I'd have hated my ex to have referred to me as The Missus. I also hate women referring to their husband as 'hubby' or 'hubs'.
