Friend saying her (huge) bum is small

AIBU to be getting irritated with this and be baffled? She is always saying this to me even though it's HUGE and mine is definitely smaller as she can see... and people always tell her it's big so surely she knows? But she will talk about how it's not big and she needs to start growing it etc (weight training) even though she literally gets comments on it on a regular basis. On one hand maybe she literally can't see how big it is, a lot of women are very critical of their bodies... but to actually say it's small and not big even though she's constantly getting comments on it?!
By the way this isn't a jealousy issue, it just baffles me why she is always saying this to me even though people always say it's big... also the fact mine is definitely smaller but she calls hers small and not big directly to me

Right... I'm lost now.
and obviously bored to be engaging with this Shiite
Who has got the fat bum again? You or her?
Your OP suggests it's her but she says it's small.
Now (from your update,) I'm thinking it's you.

I don't really believe that 91% of you would be just fine with say, a toned size 6 going on and on on a regular basis about how fat she is and needs to lose weight directly to you if you're someone larger who may want to lose weight etc

I'm size 22 at best and my size 8 goddess friend announced that she was getting really fat and could she come to SW with me (join my group) .
Should that have bothered me OP?

HoffiCoffi13 · 12/04/2020 14:40

How are you seeing her 5 days a week? Do you work with her?

h3av3n · 12/04/2020 15:08

Yes we we work together

OP I honestly think you need to start directing more of your mental energies towards the things that really matter to you in life, this seems to be taking up a disproportionate amount of headspace for you. I get that your workmate's behaviour is irritating, but the sheer level of annoyance you seem to be feeling is baffling to me. Life's too short.

This has got to be one of the most vacuous and inane post on AIBU I've ever come across.

I think you need to be more assertive with your colleague if this is irritating you. Just say you're not interested. If you keep answering, she'll carry on because she won't know that you're fed up with her comments.

Your friend sounds a bit self absorbed and inconsiderate. Sounds like she's fishing for compliments. I've known people like that and it's sooo tiring. Makes you want to roll your eyes but you can't.

Do women walk round commenting on the size of their female friends arses?

My DH also wants to know if a woman asks “does my bum look big in this?” Are men now supposed to answer yes or no?

Real world problems.

Lifeisgenerallyfun · 12/04/2020 20:38

Also starting to wonder if I inadvertently created the craze of bum clapping when I was doing couch to 5k losing baby weight a number of years ago Pretty sure I could sometimes hear that clapping noise as I hauled my wobbly arse I had carefully cultivated over 9 months round the streets, even over my headphones.

Can you send 2 photos for us to compare.

This may help to resolve matters.
