Not my knickers

Found some black lacy knickers in the wash this morning. Not mine, not my kids, was I being unreasonable to ask my husband whose they were? They were mixed up with his washing on the bedroom floor. He's now not talking to me because I "accused him of being unfaithful " I didn't, I asked him whose they were and why they were in his washing. It has transpired that my daughter put put them on the floor in our room because they were in her clean washing and weren't hers. He says I was being pissy but I wasn't, I was just asking whose they were and why they were there. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Honestly, don't apologise. His reaction was severe, you merely asked a question, one in my opinion, you had every right to do. Then he goes out for a run......my guess is to play for time or if indeed guilty, phone the "other" woman. Stay strong, do not apologise and ask him again when he comes home.

Hmm Sounds a bit fishy to me. Surely the normal reaction would have been 'Oh perhaps they're my DD's, I'll ask them'. Not to have a hissy and then sulk. Cherchez la Femme.

I hate to take disgusting view here but is there any chance he has a ‘used knicker fetish’? It’s a huge secret market (which I may have some experience in,ahem) I always wondered what happened to the knickers once they were ‘finished’ with..

Sounds a bit fishy to me.

Was it just me that snorted?

There are possible explanations but I agree with those who found his reaction strange- my DH would have laughed/made some bad jokes.

Trophy cats are real. these tails (Wink) are making me so happy; I can still recite Slinky Malinki Grin
My cat specialised in froglets Confused every spring he would fill our house with them. Unharmed & we would return to the local pond.

His reaction is over the top defensive

Did you find out anything OP?

Daftodil · 15/04/2020 08:54

Of course you're right to ask. Wouldn't he query it with you if a random pair of boxers appeared in your bedroom?

FWIW, I had a similar situation with an ex years ago after a pair of knickers appeared in his car. We'd given my friend and his girlfriend a lift home one evening and her knickers had fallen out of her overnight bag when she was rummaging about in her bag for her phone in dark. Totally innocent and I think my ex was more freaked out about it than I was, so there could be a reasonable explanation for it.

incognitomum · 15/04/2020 09:04

He sounds shifty.
